Starting the paper chase...again
Hello all,
I am starting the process again! This time last year, my huband and I were submitting our dossier, then life happened and we got divorced, putting an end to the adoptions plans. Now, I'm ready to go at it again, this time on my own! I started the paper chase today, sending for my birth certificate and police clearance. Tomorrow, I go after my divorce papers, child abuse clearance and home study application. I've got a few other things ready, as well. Since I last jumped through all these hoops, I did part of it again, applying for a foster to adopt program. i'm still waiting for a match there. This time, things seem so easy and fast! I just feel in my heart that I am meant to adopt a baby from Guatemala. I have to try again. This is very scary, but I know it will work out. The Hague is really worrying me. I haven't kept up on things over the past year, but I'm etting back up to speed. Wish me luck! Thanks for "listening". -Adrienne

Best of luck in your journey. I decided to adopt after my divorce and I know my daughter will be much better of have me as a single mom than any child would have had with my exhusband and me together as parents.

You go girl...best of luck with the whole paper chasing thing. Also things will happen when you least expect it. We two are foster to adopt and nothing was happening so we started our international adoption 4wks before we received our 1st referral we had a 7month baby girl placed in our home. Now 11 months later we are starting the paper work to adopt her too. I'm very excited and scared at the same time. Our children will only be 8 months apart. Well I know that God only gives us what we can handle. Keep us posted.
