Question More Grand Tikal Q's

Is 134. a good rate for the mini suite? I got this rate at a popular online travel site. If not, how else should I try booking it?

Was the breakfast worth it? Also, did I read correctly, this price includes bottled waters at any time? I know, at this pt., does it really matter???

Yes, good rate, over easter I paid 140, best rate I've gotten is 127. Breakfast is definately worth it. And I have no idea about the water. We took a cab ride to the Hiper Pais (huge huge huge grocery store) and bought gallons of water.

I think that there is a business center on the 9th floor where you can go get free water anytime... We never made it up there because we bought a couple of gallons at the pharmacy in the mall!!

Breakfast is so worth it!! You made hungry just thinking about it!!!!

Enjoy!!!

Thank you both for the information! I am looking forward to the breakfast already. Beans and eggs I'm sure? Hmm...I will be in a very small room with my husband for six days...

of course beans and eggs, but also hashbrowns, pancakes, bacon, made to order omletts, and much more!!!

To escape the room, go to the mall or the pool area, and you can hang out in the lobby area too!!!

enjoy!!

That is a good rate and the breakfast is well worth it. If you are on the 8th floor or above you get access to the exec room which has free bottled water, pop, wine, beer, etc so that might be where the free water is coming from. However, there is a grocery nearby and a pharmacy in the attached mall that sells water reasonably by the gallon.

Hi LionBird,

Does the price quoted include the 22% tax? I have been going back and forth with the Grand Tikal as of yesterday. If it were only two adults in the room I got a rate of $155 for the master suite (taxes and breakfast included).

Hmmm I don't think that includes the tax. I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

The quote I got yesterday direct from Grand Tikal was $155 including breakfast and taxes for the master suite. I was quoted $125 for a reg. room that included breakfast and taxes. These rates are for August. I emailed them.
