I know this varies. But I'm curious anyway--I'd like feedback on how long it took cases to get OUT of PGN after a single KO and resubmission.

It looks like the earliest we can be resubmitted w/my new BC is next Wed., which isn't bad. So far we still don't have the official KO, but I imagine we will have it by the time my BC is stamped at the Consulate and my facilitator picks it up. I know she'll try to resub. our file the same day--she's awesome!

We got our KO for new medical certificates after 6 weeks in PGN... resubmitted March 6th... over 8 weeks now.... still no word... praying it's today!!!!

My agency has always said that after a KO it's usually 6 weeks til you're out - unless, of course, you get another KO! I think it is completely random, though.

Got kicked out 02/23 I think, resubmitted 03/05, then finally out 04/27. 6 weeks if you're not kicked out again seems right.

We got kicked out and resubmitted the next day. We got out exactly 3 weeks to the day after being resubmitted.

Becca, I have my days/weeks back in PGN since our KO my lilypie ticker in my signature. No word yet on another KO. My fingers are crossed so tightly that they are numb (so is my brain at this point!).

We got our first KO after 15 weeks (!), the 2nd one after 7 weeks and we are now ending our 5th week since resubmission.

You can check out my timeline. It really held us up and was really frustrating. Of course we were IN over Christmas. We were kicked out for a missing document that was NOT missing. Very frustrating. VERY. I hope you get OUT very, very soon.

For us it was 8 weeks exactly from resubmit to out - but 2 of those weeks were the Christmas shut down period when virtually nothing happened as everyone was on holiday in Guatemala. Hope your experience is faster!

Hi there.

How much a previo will set you back really depends on three things, in my opinion... 1. how long you had to wait before receiving the previo 2. what type of a previo you receive and how quickly it takes you or the lawyers to obtain what is necessary to be accepted by PGN and 3. how long you wait once you have been resubmitted to PGN.

You can see our timeline below. We received a previo (a kickout) at four weeks. It took us one week to obtain the document that we needed, certify the document, authenticate the document and send it via Fed Ex to Guatemala. It then took about three weeks for translation and then we were resubmitted to PGN. After our resubmit date, we waited 8 weeks to get OUT.

One week is exactly how long it took us to do those things and FedEx my new BC to Guatemala. Agent said our facilitator will get translation done while waiting for the Consulate to stamp the new BC, so hopefully the transl. won't contribute to a slow-down. Again, we're hoping for resub. by 5/9.

I got Ko'd 5 weeks after submission
I got Ko'd 7 weeks after that
Today is 8 weeks after that...... still waiting.........

Today marks 11 weeks since our resubmit, and our attorney says that we are simply still waiting in PGN.

I can see three possibilities:

1) We've had another KO and weren't told about it (but since we get semi-regular updates and we told about the KO in February, I doubt this would be the case).
2) We're in investigation. We don't have a minor birthmom, though. Our agency claims that PGN wouldn't tell our attorney if our case were sent to investigation, but I don't believe that. Our agency has been doing Guatemalan adoptions for 15 years, and I can't believe they said that.
3) We have a freakishly slow second reviewer.

At this point, I'd just like to hear something either way (KO or OUT) to know that we aren't being investigated or that our file hasn't fallen behind someone's file cabinet or something.
