Talking I don't have to ever give her back!!

First congrats to all the OUTS, DNA, PA and PINK!!! The last 24 hours have been crazy!! But I wouldn't trade it for anything!! If anyone is at the Marriott right now you have probably heard Gabi She is grieving so hard right now When FM left Gabi was hanging on her shirt and screaming, it was horrible. FM was crying so hard and I felt SO sad for her!! They loved Gabi SO much! She cried for about 2 hours then through up all over me and her So we had to get in the bath and after we got out she cried her self to sleep naked in her towel. I got a diaper on her and that was it. She slept with me and slept straight for 12 hours!! Then it started all over again She is so scard right now. She wants me then pushes me away but then screams when I put her down. It breaks my heart!!! I love this little girl so much!!!! I just stare at her when she is asleep and can't believe she is our baby girl!!! People that have picked up, how long did the grieving last? I just feel so sad for her Anyway I am tired and Gabi is asleep now so I am going to try and get some rest Here are some pictures from the few minutes that she was playing

Gabi is about the same age as Sabrina during our last visit trip. Sabrina cried hard throughout the first night. Cried on and off the second day. By that evening she was fine with DH. And by the third day she was copasetic with me too. Just give her some time...and try to catch a litte shut eye when you can. In this case, time is on your side! BTW - Gabi is just ADORABLE!!!

My only advice is: distract, distract, distract. Try not to let her sit still and wallow if possible. Good luck and congrats!

Our Janna was 7 mos and she did the same thing. I felt like she was the only one at the Radisson screaming and that people must think we didn't know how to take care of a baby (she is our 9th!) In reality the grieving is a very good sign that she was securely attached and will be capable of developing a secure attachment with you. I have 2 attachment challenged children from Russia that have been with me 6 yrs, so I have first hand knowledge of attachment issues. Even though it's hard now, be thankful... and it will get better!! Best wishes, she is a cutie!

Oh my...she is just too precious!!! Such a pretty girl, and she will be even more so once her little heart heals a little and she has smiles on that pretty face!
I agree with Gatos....distract, distract, distract! Camille HATED our room, but the lobby was cool with her, so my husband would take her down there so I could get ready without a baby hanging on my neck! In the room, she would have nothing to do with him. But she liked the lights and people downstairs in the lobby so we walked a lot of halls there!
I am SO glad you are there and she is in your arms, even if she is crying while there, for now. It WILL get better...keep telling yourself that over and over until it happens!!

Hugs,
Cindy

Congrats!! She's just beautiful!

I'm sorry she's struggling. We had the same thing. Our son screamed and threw up for an entire day. It's stressful, I know! He kept searching the rooms for his foster mom. It gets better every day. Just keep holding her/wear her/console her (even if she doesn't want it). By the time we left for home we had a few smiles!! Let her know your safe and she will come around. If you need support or to vent please feel free to pm me.

Blessings to you and your new family.

I don't have any advice either--sorry!

But your post did help me make up my mind about one issue--how many rooms to get when I go down for pickup. I'm going with my Mom who is in her 70s and I'm thinking that, if possible, we should get two rooms because I don't think my Mom will be able to take constant crying--as she has gotten older, her patience level has gotten lower!

Of course, I don't know how great I'll be with it either, or if Iva will be crying as much as your little one has been.

I think it is a good sign that she misses her foster family--she loved once so she can love again.

Oh my goodness...

How precious. Your daughter is beautfiul. And I'm so sorry her heart is breaking. Hang in there, sounds like the next few days (much like the whole adoption process) will be filled with ups and downs.

((hugs)) and prayers
