We are in Central Illinois too. I'm just wondering how long it took everyone to get an approval from MARY? through DCFS I believe? I feel so nervous about that, our homestudy agency just sent her all our paperwork on Monday and we are now waiting for her approval! Is this done in every state or just Illinois? Why do they have to approve it? I thought once we got INS approval we were good to go, now we gotta worry about someone else approving us or not? I just feel worried with all the bad press about Guat. right now, she may say NO! and then that would be the end for me! Thanks ladies

We are from the southern end of the state (right across from Kentucky). We are adopting a baby boy! Regarding your question about Mary and the DCFS approval, don't worry about it. It doesn't take too long.

South of Aurora, here. Mary seemed really great during Spencer's adoption. She even gave a head's up about the closing of our HS agency... Luckily, she did, so another one could be obtained quickly... of course at an additional expense...

North Aurora here...Brayden came home from Guatemala August 2006. We are waiting for a referral for #2 from Guatemala. Hoping the referral comes VERY soon!
