Ok, so today Kevin had his Dr appointment (at the attorney's office, where they actually have a room set up as a dr's office, quite an operation). He's good, 62 cms and just a hair under 16 lbs.
Then, the attorney suggested I go, with one of her assistants, to PGN to try and talk to Sr Barrios about our case! Well, you can imagine, it's like Dorothy in the wizard of Oz going to the Emerald city to see the wizard...."nobody talks to the wizard"
But, I found out (from Barrios' secretary who was REALLY nice) that our case is FOR SURE waiting only for Barrios' signature, that he is currently signing off on cases from the end of February (and according to her, he does go in order of last submission date), and that the chances are good that our case will get signed off next week
Of course, since everyone spoke ONLY spanish, they might really have been telling me to invest in land in the sahara desert. Who knows (no, my spanish is pretty good, I'm pretty sure I've translate the converstion correctly).

Also, my attorney told me she was sure that these cases tat get through PGN in three weeks are slipping through via a well greased (bribed) pathway. SHe told me she'd be happy to "pay extra" if she only knew who in PGN was on the take. Has anyone else heard this from atty's????
Does anyone know any info re the case that got out recently with the original submit date of March 28th????

PGN, btw, is nothing like I imagined it to be.

I love this post. You are both funny and brave. Thanks so much for passing along this information. PGN was starting to take on mythical proportions in my head .

My timeline is similar to yours (12/14 in, 1/19 KO & in, 3/9 KO & in) so I really like the news you bring!

I applaud your bravery and pray that you get that OUT call next week! I have been to PGN a few times myself and have only met the Wizard once and it wasn't the current Wizard! LOL, I hope it helps you get your baby home quickly!!

WOW. I wanted so much to make a Wizard of Oz joke about whether you got you hair done and shoes shined in aniticpation of the big meeting with the Wizard but I couldn't make it funny... I think I was too dazzled by your information. I am a late february re-submit!!

To add to and perhaps bolster what you are saying, my agency. who I trust, had indicated that our facilitator told them that ALL of our previos had been fixed (leading me to beleive we had some on the Guatemala side we were never told about!!) and that she was sure we would be released last week. We weren't but when our facilitator gives predicitions like this it is ususally based on something and therefore I am hoping that maybe she was told the same thing you were.

If it was true then after four months, my case would have been signed off on.

Barrios secretay told my attorney that my case has been sittig on the directors desk for three months and we have to wait until he signs off on it.

And btw it has not been kicked out as of yet.

Since some have asked for a description of PGN, I've uploaded these two photos (not taken by me, I wish I had brought my camera with me). The building (which in my head had become this Kafka-esque "court house" a giant, poorly lit building made of limestone, filled with desked piled to the ceiling with tattered manilla folders and papers dripping ever so slowly to the floors....I picture Barrios sitting at a desk that was impossibly high off the ground) was actually very non-descript. Like one of those
70's "industrial park" buildings you might see in you own town/city /suburb.
Like I said, I spoke with Barrios' secretary, who sits right outside Barrios' office (and so just a run of the mill wooden door separated me from him) and when I gave her my case number, while she DID have a cumputer on her desk, she looked it up in a medium sized spiral bound notepad. And then was very happy to inform me that she believed my case would be signed off next week.
That's about all I can think of.......
Waiting for a flood of out posts this week, so that NEXT week, he'll be signing off on March cases!!!!!!
