Flights are pretty cheap after Easter in April, too. We're flying Continental 4/29 Seattle-GC for $405 including tax. We cancelled a trip in January after we lost our referral. It was $700 then, so we still have a lot of credit from that we can use towards our pick up trip.

Is this a new airline? I am petrified of flying and am concerned about "cheap" flights. Somewhere in my pea sized brain I think cheap=crash!!!!

Has anyone flown this airline before?

I am a travel agent. Spirit Airlines has been around for a while. They only fly to a few locations - starting to have more. Some of the routes only fly seasonal.
I looked at this special, but you need to book it by tomorrow (Apr 5)! It is really 8 cents each way plus about $85.00 in taxes.

Thanks so much to mcidas and this awesome tip. I just booked 5 tickets for my entire family to go to Guatemala in May and the entire bill for all of us including taxed was $460.00. I can't believe it!!!

I looked at this. It looks like from 5/16 - 5/20ish, they flights go up to a whopping $8.00!

We live in WI, but if we made separate flight arrangements to get to Fort Lauderdale, our tickets would be $778. That is about half price.

See, for me, it's almost the same from my hoemtown airport. I'd have to fly to LA or Ft L and then to GC plus stay overnight in a hotel. I could probably fly to GC from here for about $100 less. Believe me, I was trying to make it work!!!

Any other tips to make this come out cheaper???? I'd love to go again at the end of May!!

I love Spirit airlines, I wish they had been flying to Guatemala when I was traveling! I've had really good experiences with Spirit, I've flown with them many times going to Florida and Las Vegas. I think they are a lot better than Northworst.
