We didn't authenticate our DNA results. Is there anyone on the form who's been kicked out of PGN for this anytime in the last year or so?

There was a period of time when we were all doing it because PGN was KO'ing cases for it. I'm trying to determine if it's still happening.

We just got out of PGN--no authenticating DNA and no KO for it. Hope this helps.

Oh man...please don't tell me we didn't have to do this...we lost a month because our DNA results were LOST in the mail (costing us 2 weeks of waiting) and- then another 2 weeks because of having to have them certified and authenticated for PGN.

I don't want to scare you Tina...maybe this doesn't have to be done, but I am definitely going to have to say something to our agency about this because we lost a month over it if this is the case.

I think most agencies are still asking people to authenticate the DNA for the very reason I mentioned - PGN was requiring it at some point in the past. After all, that's part of what you pay the agency for - to ensure your paperwork is as complete as it can be, to prevent a KO. For our first adoption, people were getting KO for not having it.

We're doing an independent adoption. The lawyer told us she doesn't think we'll need it authenticated. That doesn't mean we WON'T, if PGN starts kicking people out for it again! So, rest assured in the knowledge you won't be kicked out for not having authenticated DNA. It's a silly KO anyway, because they really shouldn't need to see anything other than the DNA results and the fact that the case has pre-approval. But, we all know PGN doesn't always play by fair rules!

I did not authenticate DNA and got out in Feb with no KOs.

We were kicked out for it back on 10/19/06. It took awhile to be resubmitted so we didn't get back in until 11/24.

Keep in mind that many times the agency does it and people never know it is being done.

Our results were not authenticated by us, or our agency.
We got out of PGN on 3/19 with no Ko's.

I asked out agency about this and they said that we don't need to have DNA results authenticated since they are primarily for the Embassy. We're in PGN now, one minor KO, but not for DNA authentication. Hope we don't need it.

I received a KO for it....my facilitator said she had not had a KO for it in the past--just mine. I recommend it. I think it really slowed me down and I got into the yucky holiday wait. See my timeline!
