Hotels?
My agency has approved out dates for our visit trip. What are your experiences with the Hotel San Carlos and the Clarion?

I don't know about the San Carlos but we stayed at the Clarion for our P/U trip last time. It is clean, nice and the suite set up is great. The food is also good at the restaurant. The downside is that there are no grounds. The lobby is small and there really is no where to go other than your room. If your agency lets you out with the baby it is in a decent part of town-- we felt safe walking the few blocks around the area. There are several other hotels (Weston, Intercontinental, etc) with nice lobbies that are right there as well.

I stayed at the Clarion for my visit trip and loved it. The suites are very large and clean. Like the previous poster said, not much to do outside of the room but I enjoyed just hanging out with my baby which is what it is really about, right?

Oh cool! When are you traveling?? Maybe we'll be there at the same time! Are these the two they're recommending you stay? I was wondering where they'll have us stay. I'd love to stay at the Marriott again.

The Hotel San Carlos is very close to the Embassy. I havent stayed there but did stay at the hotel La Casa Grande that is right next to the Carlos and did go check it out, its a very cute hotel and Ive heard good things about it, it is nice being so close to the Embassy. Good luck to you
