U.S. Advises againt Guatemalan Adoptions?
I just read this article in this mornings newspaper.
Has anyone else heard this? Adoptions will now face extra scrutiny because of rampant fraud and extortion. I have a freind in the middle of one and am very worried for her. Any thoughts? Kim

Yes we were told about this earlier in the week. That is the reason we were told that the Embassy is taking a week now to issue pink slips, they are reviewing all the documents to look for signs of fraud.

My advice is don't believe everything you read in the newspapers and check out this site...
www.adoptioncouncil.org Also, your friend is probably very aware of everything that has been going on. Positive thoughts and support is what she needs now...
