FIVE *YEARS* ago today
...we got the call that Jacob had been born!
It is just so amazing to think back over the past 5 years and to see how much we have been blessed by our kids. I am so thankful that we took that leap of faith and followed the road that led to parenthood. The road has had its share of ups and downs and difficulties and moments of pure joy... and you know what? I wouldn't have changed one thing! Sure, the waiting was tough and there were times when I didn't think Jacob would ever come home to us... but he did and now it is hard to imagine life before Jacob. To steal a line from one of my favorite movies "(my kids) complete me"  To watch our two kids playing together and to think they could have lived their whole lives without knowing each other - they could have been complete strangers... as a matter of fact, we all could have been complete strangers... but by the grace of God and His divine plan, 4 people who were once strangers to each other are now a FAMILY. ...wow... I am in utter amazement... Here is a picture that was taken last Sunday - on Jacob's 5th birthday. Ain't life grand?  Prayers to all of you waiting... God Bless!!!!!!!

I can't believe that it has been 5 years already! I still remember when we were waiting for our boys to come home!! Your picture is adorable and I'm so glad that even though you live in MO, you sport the "Jayhawk" gear! Also, your message to GAP-KC was sent to the committee heads so I hope they come up with an answer for you. I don't know...but I'd love to be a part of your group, too! We could get together and have a lot of fun!!! Good luck!
