ot: magnetic paint or other magnetic surfaces
i'm setting up my sons' playroom, and i want a large magnetic surface, at least 2' by 3' so that e and e can use their magnet letters and i can hang their pictures, art, etc. i have been reading about magnetic paint, but it seems most people don't think it works. anybody use it and have an opinion? anybody have an opinion of what i can use? i try to think outside of the box, so i don't just want a big white magnetic board, i want something different. any home depot lovers out there know of something i can buy at hd that would do the job? any other ideas?

I haven't used it (yet), but we're hoping to when we move. A friend of mine did her son's wall with it, and it works great! She said it took a few coats, though.

I used the magnetic paint and was not all that impressed with it. But let me give you the full story. First the paint was a year old, I got it from a friend that used it (does it get old?). I would say it does work well for magnetic letters. But I could not hang anything on the wall. My walls are textured though and that might have been why. You might have better luck with a smooth surface.
Good Luck.
