Help! I'm in Antigua and my husband is sending all of the documents that I need for the Embassy appt. with a friend tomorrow -- as I am going to the Embassy by myself.

I'm getting mixed reports about what I need to take. Does my husband need to send his passport for me to take to the Embassy? I thought he just needed a notarized photocopy of the passport.

Has anyone been there lately on a solo pickup trip? If he sends his passport with my friend, I'm not sure how to best get it back to him so he can come down in a few weeks to get us.

They just asked me for a notarized copy. We also had to have a Power of Attorney (that our agency insists they told me about but they did not until I was already there) giving me the right to act on his behalf.

I am not sure about the passport since I brought my husband's actual passport with me, but I second what Kim said about the Power of Attorney -- gotta have it! In fact, I took 2 just to be safe. Good luck!
