OK, Here we go. Palmetto Hope - HAPS -For This Child
Hello everyone,
I will cut to the chase. I have read, read and re-read hundreds of posts today on this forum, other forums, email lists and groups. I have even harassed many of you through PM and email. We have finally narrowed down our own list of agencies to Palmetto Hope, HAPS and perhaps For This Child. All this after thinking other agencies not mentioned above might be the way to go. What are your thoughts on the three I mentioned? I would love to hear from anyone who has an opinion, good or bad. I would also love to hear from anyone who has recently been through the process as well. Someone tip the scale towards one or the other for us! Good luck with your search. Please make sure you find out the status of the Guatemala program for all of the agencies that you are considering. My agency has announced that they are no longer taking applications for Guatemalan adoptions until the Hague situation is more clear or resolved. They are still working with the familes that are in the process. Other agencies might be close to doing this too, so I would just make sure what the situation / current directive is with whatever agency you decide on.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses, emails and PM's. I received over 200 responses from here and other lists and groups. I have had a ton of information to pur through and know I can make an educated guess afterwards.
In the "old days", just how did people get by without the internet? Thanks again everyone! Pat

You did a lot of research for Guatemala Agenices. I am interested in heaing about the same 3 agencies you were asking references on. I would love to hear about every thing you learned and know if you had went with the Guatemala program which agency would you had used? PM me please.
