Question Certificate of Citizen Questions!!!!

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me a little with this form. Our daughter came home on an IR4 Visa. She was readopted in NY. Here are my questions:

1. Date legal custody began?
2. Date of Adoption?
3. Did she already obtain lawful permanent resident status?
4. Are we both (my husband and I) claiming citizenship for her?
5. Do you have to mail all originals to Immigration if they already have them on file (i.e. parent's passports, marriage certificate, etc.)

Thank you for any help.

We put date Protocolo was signed as date of legal custody and adoption date. Yes, she has obtained permanent resident status (you got the green card after coming home). I don't have the application in front of me, but I believe only one of you fills out the part for claiming citizenship (I filled out the "father" part and lef the mother part blank). And yes, you have to send in the supporting documents again, although I'm not sure if they have to be originals or photocopies. For some reason I'm thinking you can send in photocopies, but it does say on the instructions. I know for sure we didn't send in our passports.
