Just curious - who else is waiting for a referral? We just started the wait as of Friday - got our corrected I-797 in the mail (!). Dossier has already been sent to Guatemala. We are open to gender.

So who else is waiting with me?

We are waiting also, it has been about 11 weeks, we are waiting for a girl.

hi! we are waiting, as well (for a boy). our dossier was submitted last week (it was actually ready first week of december, but our social worker made a mistake on the home study notarization and went away until the last week of december). we are waiting for our USCIS approval; we mailed the I600A on 11/21, but didn't get a fingerprinting appt. until 12/29. hoping that they issue approval fast (unlikely), as our agency won't give a referral until we have approval.

We are on "the list", the all important list. Waiting for a baby of either gender but I'm planning on a boy. We have a boy name picked out. Everyone keeps saying to pick out a girl name just in case, but DH and I have been planning on a boy since we started this whole crazy thing. We'll see!!!! Our agency says we'll have about a 3 month wait and our dossier was submitted almost a month ago. 2 more months to go!

We are waiting too! We received our I171H on 11/30 and are waiting for a little girl. I am expecting that she will be born sometime between March and May. I don't think I could handle waiting much longer than that.

Oh it's nice to have people to wait with. This is by far the best wait so far, as opposed to waiting for the I-797 or for someone to do a document for you, or whatever. We are open to gender too and I have a feeling it will be a boy but my husband is thinking it will be a girl. It's fun. We have ideas for names and I've bought a few things already. I don't think our wait will be long. I'm trying not to think about it so much though....LOL...it's hard!

Laurie249---You're so right, this is a better wait than when I was waiting for my I-171H. Not easier, but better

I have been on the list for about 4 weeks...my agency says late Jan/early Feb. I'm #2 on the list for a boy and #5 on the list for a girl.

Here's hoping that we all see some action soon!

I'm new and currently researching agencies. I've been on the rainbow kids photolisting and have seen so many little babies that agencies claim there are not enough homes for (especially boys).

I am a little embarrassed I'm so ignorant about this, but why do some agencies have waits while others claim to have more kids then they can place?

We're also waiting for a referral. The attorneys our agency use have been vacation, today is supposed to be their first day back. So, I'm really hoping to hear something this week or next. Before Christmas, our agency was anticipating "many" (I can't define many) referrals after the holiday break.
