Out of PGN! Escort Questions
Hi All,

We received the news that we are our of PGN!! We got out on 12/29/06. What a way to start 2007!!

We were so fortunate to be able to visit her in December but we can't go for the pick-up. Has anyone had their child escorted home? How much time did it add? Feel free to pm me.

We were looking into this at one point and our agency said about a month. But it depends on when paperwork etc is completed.

How much time it adds depends on your local CIS office, as they have to provide the paperwork in order for an escort to bring your child home. If you have a quick office it may only add a couple of weeks, if you have a slow office it can add up to 6 weeks to the end of the process.

We had our son escorted in Oct 2006. Becky is correct. The extra time is dependant upon your local CIS office. Portland OR is very quick and it only added 1 week to our process.

I just asked our agency this and they said the average time to add on is 1-2 months. It really depends on how fast your USCIS office is. Considering it took 3 months to get our 171h , I would assume my local office isn't fast.
Plus my agency said we would have to pay for foster care if it was longer than 2 weeks. Then you have to pay a fee, flights, hotel misc. for the escort.
