This is very hard for me to write to all you folks.
Two years ago, I felt the Lord calling me to start the prayer chain. I was nervous doing it as I wasn't sure how it would be received. But there was such an outpouring of love and support for each other that it was incredible. I have seen God work in so many ways..not only in the adoption prayers, but in personal matters. I have shared so many prayers and have been encouraged by you all. I thank you for that.
But lately I have not been able to give it my all and it has become harder and harder for me to keep it updated. Homeschooling 3 now has me doing a little more, and I have just taken a new coaching job,working with disabled swimmers, and trying to get them into the the world of swimming.
I am grieving over this decision as it has brought me a deeper prayer life, moving the focus off my own "problems" and concentrating on others. But I feel the Lord calling me in a different direction, ministering not only to my own family, but to those who desire to swim regardless of their disablities.
I pray that there will be someone who will take this ministry over, but if not, I hope that you will continue to pray for each other and encourage each other in intercessory prayer.
I will still be around ,although not quite as frequent, and I will continue to pray for all you who are not only waiting for children to come home, but those who are experiencing medical issues with family and loved ones.

Oh Dear.......I know this task will be taken over by someone that will do a terrific job......I just wanted to say thank you Doretta form the bottom of my heart. There were mornings I woke and just did not think I could make it even in the shower let alone through the day. Your prayers are what got me through many times and I love you for that. I agree with everyone Doretta! You have always been so kind and loving and faithful about your praying! I know I've experienced the benefits of your prayers on more than one ocassion over this past year and I really have appreciated the work that you do. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart and please don't feel badly! We all have our own lives that we, eventually, will need to get back to! You have a lot with homeschooling and coaching and being a Mommy too! Please don't forget to take time for yourself too Doretta! You need time for yourself too!

I am so touched by your note to the forum. You do all things with grace and love. You know how much I appreciate you and the prayers you post each day.

I too would be honored to take over the prayer chain. I will pray on it and if it is meant to be mine God will pave the way.

Know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you the best of luck as you follow God's will for your life once again. The blessings of His love for you will pour out like never before as you begin to work with the children who truly need your love.

I can personally attest to the times that knowing that others were praying for me, strengthened and encouraged me. Thank you for being the instrument for God to work in the lives of the people depending on this forum.

Two years! How can it be that long already? I would say, "Time flies," but that's so cliche.
