Just curious, my DD has 6 teeth right now 4 top and 2 bottom. They all came in pretty close together, but she hasn't had any come in in the last 2 months.

What is normal? Those of you with 12 month olds (or close to that), how many teeth does your child have now?

All babies are different.. My youngest son didn't cut his first tooth until he was 10 months old.. At 12 months, he only had 4.. Bryce cut her first tooth at 3 months and by 12 months, She had at least 10.. She is now 18 months, and has 16.

Definitely has nothing to do with age then. Daniela was 12 months in November and she only had two teeth which came after 10 months! Now she has another two on top and two more coming in! Now they seem to be shooting out like rapid fire LOL Poor baby.

at 8 and 1/2 months eli only had the four bottom teeth. when he came home at ten month he had also cut the four top teeth....and 2 months later at 12 months...he still has his 8 teeth with no signs of cutting any more any time soon.

Celeste has 8: 4 on top and 4 on bottom and starting to cut her molars. oh, joy...
She got all of them within about a month or so and nothing has popped up since November... if I remember correctly...
seems like I kept better track with the first baby!

At 12 months my son only had his two bottom teeth.
Now at 19 months, he has four on top, and four on the bottom, and he's working on his top molars.

It took him forever to get his first tooth, he was over 10 months.

Isabella got her first 2 bottom together at 10 m and now at 12 m is cutting her 4 top ones....all at one time. but has not been fussy or fever...

By 12 months she had 8 teeth... at 16 months still just 8 teeth. I think the back ones will come in soon.

My DD just turned 12 months at the end of Nov and she had 8 teeth, 4 top and 4 bottom, but now she is cutting her 2 bottom molars.

At 7 1/2 months when he came home, he only had the bottom two. At 12 months he had 8. Now at 20 1/2 months, we have all of them!!! 18 I think....

joshua came home at 10 months - he was teething on gotcha day! he had two top and two bottom.

now at 12 months old - he has four top and four bottom.

this week he started drooling like a faucet and can't keep his hands out of his mouth. so here comes the back molars! fun, fun, fun!

i feel horrible for him. he is a trooper though. each child as others have said teeth at different times...like everything else - some are early and others are late.

i use homeopathic teething tablets and liquid - they work great! no side effects and i can keep using them all day long without making him tired, etc.

Gabriella had 6 teeth at 12 months and then starting getting her molars. It took almost 5 months for them to completely come in. She is now 17 months and has about 13 teeth.

My son didn't show his first tooth until 18months. I talked to dentists and doctors at the time and each time they said, no problem, it happens when it happens. And they don't always come in in the same pattern most children's do.

John had 4 teeth at his birthday and now at 15 months (today) has 8 with another coming in.
