Wow that seems high for Ohio. We live about 25 miles south of Cleveland and pay $132/week and the center provides 2 snacks and lunch. They charge $166/week for children under 18 months.

Tish--

I am also In West-Central Florida (Tampa area) and will be starting my daughter in daycare in February--she will be 13 months old.

I will be paying $155 per week but supplying all food and diapers. I've checked several places and the costs tend to vary between $150 and $200 a week depending on what they supply/location, etc.

Where exactly do you live?

Dorie

We are in rural Kansas and pay $20 a day... we supply diapers, wipes, and formula. She's in a small daycare in a school (about 10 kids most days).

We are SO lucky that my husband works weekends so all we have to send her is 3 days a week on average... we couldn't afford it otherwise!

I am in Nashville TN, well, just outside, anyway I keep children in my home and I charge $125 a week with the parents supplying everything except snacks. I do not give a break for siblings.
I see some of the posters here think the cost of childcare is too high but I always thought people who keep children are underpaided. If you break down the hours work to the $125 a week I make per child it comes to $2.25 an hour without tips! Children are our most precious gifts and it kills me to hear a parent complain about paying someone to raise their child for them! I don't mean to step on toes here but really, a garbage man makes minimum wage folks!

I live in Southern California and I pay $160 for 4 days. I provide diapers and food but my care giver does feed her some during the day.

I live just outside of Louisville, KY. The daycares are running about $150 per week. I'm going to be paying $69.00 a week for three days. I need to supply diapers and formula. Once he's "eating" better, they supply the food.
