They are steps towards the end of the process of Guatemala adoptions:

1. Dossier and I-171-H from USCIS
2. Referral
3. Power of Attorney signed to start adoption
4. DNA auth from US Embassy to take DNA
5. DNA taken and matched
6. Pre-approval from US Embassy to bring child into US
7. Enter Family Court where social worker interviews birthmother and foster mother and reviews your dossier, then approves or disapproves the adoption completing. (This can happen concurrently with DNA process.)
8. Exit Family Court with social worker report
7. Enter PGN where all documents are reviewed by a reviewer, then 3 assessors, and finally receive approval signature from the head guy Barrios, assuming no previos, or kick-outs for errors or more information, are received.
8. Protocolo signed by birthmother to finalize adoption
9. Apply for new birth certificate of baby with your last name
10. Submit paperwork to have US Embassy appointment to finalize US side of the adoption and get a visa to bring child home
11. Get pink - US Embassy appointment comes on a pink paper
12. Go to US Embassy to apply for visa
13. Get visa
14. Go home forever
