I'm so sorry. That's a really long time to have to wait to bring your little one home. I hope we get to see your "out" post soon.

Dawn

Riverview,
I feel for you. We continue to pray for all of the little ones waiting to come home to their forever families. I know it cannot be easy, but you will make it through. Sending ((hugs)) your way.

I'm right there with you We were really looking forward to celebrating Sabrina's first Christmas with her. And our first Christmas as parents. I even bought her a cute little Christmas outfit for her picture with Santa. Now I won't even listen to Christmas music. I make DH change the station. The only thing holding me together is knowing we're visiting her again soon.

Praying we both receive some good news on our cases very soon

I'm sorry your Christmas isn't going to be the one you dreamed of. We've had quite a number of Christmases with our three and now going on fourth child waiting in Guatemala for us. They were older, so I knew they would be enjoying their own celebrations with their friends, putting on the "Pasturela" at the orphanage, etc. This may sound funny, but later, after your child is home, you will treasure the photos you have of their time in Guatemala...as someone said, their only Christmas with their foster family, etc. We missed our son's 4th birthday by one weekend. We had so hoped he'd be home to celebrate with us. But as it was, he got to celebrate it one last time with all his friends and caregivers who loved him so much. Those pictures are priceless. One day when our kids ask us about their time in Guatemala, it really is nice to have those special photos, connecting them to their first country and the first caregivers. Hope that helps you to look ahead to the day when your child is in your arms and you're then looking back. May you hear very soon that this child is ready to become fully yours and placed in your arms for good.

Riverview,

I have been following your journey on the forum for some time and my heart just breaks for you. The wait is so difficult, and not to have them home for the holidays - truly pouring salt in an open wound.

You and your family are in my prayers.
