PGN Question....Confused and bummed
I was originally told that my case went into PGN on 11/17, but when I received the PGn receipt today it has a stamp of 11/21. I am bummed out.
I am assuming i will not hear anything until after Christmas. I was told the reviewer has my case, but have not heard anything, and my agency has not heard of any prevos. I am on my 3rd week of PGN and have not received bad or good news. What are your thoughts or experience. I have noticed that several cases have exited PGN quite fast. I am wondering if my case ended up on the difficult reviewers desk. Does anyone know the names of the "picky" or "difficult" reviewers?

Most cases are currently averaging 2-3 months in PGN...I don't think you have anything to be worrying about...you are well within the 'normal timeframe' thus far.
I don't think the cases that get out have a quicker reviewer...there are plenty of quick reviewers...the delays almost always occur when it comes time for the Director to sign...

I wish I knew who the "picky" reviewer was and if our file went back to the same one
this time. We did not hear anything until week 10, then we found out our file was sent to "investigation" We are back in PGN now and I hope we have a "nice" reviewer this time around. You might be ones of the lucky one though, there are some that get out in 5-6 weeks. Best of luck![]()

Your timeframe is actually pretty good so far, although the wait can be aggravating. Keep doing what you're doing and try not to worry!

I understand...
I'm right there with you and also haven't a clue. At least you have a PGN stamp something or other to confirm when you went in.
Take care,

We are in week 12...we got k/o'd at week 6. Our agency will not give us our PGN receipts...they do not think that we need them. It aggravates me b/c I want to verify our in and out days. I am assuming after the year's end things will speed up. Keep your chin up! Here's hoping for some Christmas miracles!!!

Thank you everyone for your replies and encouragement. This whole process has ben very stressful. I think the hardest part for me is that every step seems to be out of my control...I am slowly learning patience.
I am praying that the reviewers and Mr. PGN man will try to get us all out of PGN before the first of the year. This forum has been great....You all are wonderful!

Have faith and patience
As someone who almost lost her mind during our excruciating wait for PGN, all I can tell you is what I wrote above.
We each have our own timeline - some are quick, some are within normal timeframes, some are cruelly slow - no reason. Just the way it is. I remember our facilitator saying (the day of our embassy appt.) "when it comes to the PGN, we all just wait. We know when they let us know." Be well and try not to fuss, diane
