I want to take shoes down for our pick up trip and I don't know what size she will need. She is 23 pounds and 18 1/2 months old.

Bryce is probably around 21 lbs and 2 weeks younger than Gabbie. She wears a size 4..

Ella a few weeks younger than Gabbie and also wears a 4 but her feet are tiny! You could take something like a 12-18mo. crib shoe (like Robeez) since those type of shoes would tend to have more give if snug or if big, would stay on b/c of the elastic. Ella still fits in a 6-12mo. crib shoe. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Hope is 17 months old and wears a size 4 also. She is almost 20 lbs. She wears a size 6-12 months (just graduated so they are a tad big) in the crib shoes, like Robeez.

Benji is a year and wears a 5.5! Probably could get into a 5, but the salesman said to get a 5.5. He's only 20 pounds.

My 18 mos old wears a 5, actually a 5W - but she is a big girl who wears 2T clothes. Both my other 2 wore size 4 at 18 months.

Genesis is 23 pounds and 25 months. she wears btw a 4 and 5.

Sophie is 19 months, weighs 20 1/2 pounds, wears 12 month clothes and a size 4 shoe. She has small feet though.

Maybe take a couple sizes and leave the tags on so you can return the ones that do not fit.

So excited to hear you prepare for your trip to bring home Gabbie!!

Chloe's feet are huge!
She is 21 mos old and weighs 24 1/2 pounds.
She wears a 6 1/2 and they have to be medium or wide width not narrow.
She is also very flat footed.

I second the recommendation for the soft, Robeez-type shoes (Target sells a less expensive variety -- lots of cute styles for girls!). Our son wore them exclusively until this weekend, when we got him fitted for regular shoes -- he's 15 months and wears a 6 and 1/2 W! No wonder he was crying in the other regular shoes we tried!

I'd say a size 5 would work for you.
