I am coming to you all for support, so please don't bash me. This is a personal decision for everyone and I would NEVER bash anyone for doing what they feel they have to do....please return the favor.

After alot of soul searching/praying the past week or so and more the past 2 days, DH and I have decided that our daughter is a "photolisting baby". Actually, we know which baby it is. She has been in our minds for 2 weeks and we can't shake it. I wish you could have seen my husband's eyes light up when he saw this tiny little girl!!

It's not a decision we made lightly and I have been so torn trying to do it "in order" like everyone else. It is so hard to want to do it that way and like we are encouraged to do but when it's in your heart, you just know it. There are so many babies that need homes now and we feel that God is telling us to go this route. A huge weight has been lifted since we had a long heart to heart this weekend and feel like this is finally going in the right direction now.

Please understand that this is really NOT all about getting a referral ASAP. It's how things happened with Luke and we REALLY liked it that way. Yes, there were times when it was so frustrating!! It was AWFUL but I had this little boy waiting for me there and it was all worthwhile!! In the end, it really wasn't a bad experience at all.

Honestly, I don't think I can explain it any better than I tried to above. It's what's in my heart. The agency that has this little girl is one of the most reputable agencies around and I have absolute faith in them. They've been around a while and we're already getting some info and pics of her to make sure we are doing the right thing. Please say a prayer for us!!!

PS..I wonder if you are with my agency since they photolist and are reputable.

I'm so excited for you! I can't tell you how many times that I have thought about pursuing our daughter from a photolisting...sometimes I think we still should, but we're so very close (I think) to perhaps getting a referal that I'm trying to stick it out. It sounds like this little girl is the little girl for your family as you and your husband both "know". My husband won't even look at a photolisting, so that's another problem I have with trying to go that route. Anyway, I think it's great and I can't wait to see a picture of you precious little angel soon! Again, Congrats!!!!

My DS was also found by me on a photolisting and THANK GOD for that! I love him and could not imagine our lives without him. He should be home soon....

We found our baby on a photolisting after a long experience with another agency we switched.

Photolisting children need families too. I found my son (I'm in PGN) on a photolisting, and I am in no way ashamed to say so. Best of luck with your adoption!

Why would anyone bash you?!?!? There are lots of people that find their babies on photolistings, us being one of them! We switched agencies (although we were going to switch anyway even if we hadn't found Addy) and everything worked out fine. I wish you the best of luck! Are you going to post pictures?
