Please educate me
My agency does not give a lot of information on exactly how things work so most of my knowledge has come from this forum. Could you please educate me about what exactly happens from PGN to pink. We know we came out of PGN around November 2nd. the birthmother signed off on November 8th. We have not heard anything since, till today and the agency emailed me that the embassy needs a couple more documents before the appointment is made... I-600's and copies of passports. I did not get her email till late because I was busy at work so I could not talk to her and find out exactly what this means. Are we close??? Does anyone know? Do you think it's still possible to have an appointment next week or the week after?? I guess I'm not sure if the birth certificate is done or not. Any information you have is helpful. Thanks

Have you sent a new I600 and the copies of your passports yet? It's my understanding that the attorney needs these documents to submit you for pink. I hate to give you mis-information, but I think I am correct.

It sounds like you are close. They are asking for the I600's and copies of your passports as those are needed to submit for Pink. It is possible that they are trying to get those things in order while waiting for the birth certificate, but considering the birthmother signed off almost a month ago, it seem like they should have the BC and passport by now. I would definetly ask if they have them in hand yet, and get those I600's and passport copies to them ASAP.
Assuming they DO have the BC and passport and you can get your papers down there this week, you could be sumitted to the Embassy and have Pink by the end of next week.

AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! I read about people sending down those things too but thought the agency would ask for them if needed. I don't remember having to send them 2 yr ago with the adoption of our son. We are getting them notarized and fed-exed tomarrow. I'm going nuts here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for the info. You are all so smart and kind!

You don't remember doing it because you didn't. This is new as of Oct/Nov? (can't remember exactly.)
Keep breathing! Scream a little! And bug your agency about your status. You should be really close. Putting a positive spin on it, if you FedEx them tomorrow, the attorney should have them Thurs/Fri. so he COULD submit you Monday and you would have Pink Wednesday. Hoping it goes that quick and to see your Pink post soon!
