Would it be socially acceptable if someone sends bottles down to Guat for her soon to be baby? My friend got a refural to a 3 month old and really wants to use the skinny AireVent bottles. We know she'll not get them back, but she wants the baby used to them. She knows down there they use genaric Gerber bottles. Also if she sends down pacifiers will the foster mom use them?

I would get whatever bottle you want used down there asap. Gabriella has one nipple that she likes and we can't find another one like it anywhere. It is one of those older ones that are really big and it flows fairly quickly. She's just going to have to get used to Dr. Brown's now because that's what we have the most of. We currently have 3 different brands and 5 different nipple types to try and get one that matches her old one.

I would say to go ahead and send them down. They may or may not use them. They don't use pacifiers down there so I wouldn't expect them to use those if sent.

ya, i agree, the botles will be used, probably not the pacifier. but there is no harm in sending one down. i took one on my first visit and eli loved it, so i left it...i am sure she thought i was crazy, but i figured i would rather leave it on the off chance she would use it.

I'll tell her to send them down. She's trying to see if she can get both the baby and the 2 year old with the foster mom that Little Man had. She just wasn't sure if she should send the bottles and pacifiers down.
