very nice! depending on how many documents you have YES they will do it while you wait. if they are really busy then no - you can pick them up the next day. Pedro is wonderful and very helpful. Good luck!

Yep, they did for me. I left for a few hours and they were ready when they told me they would be. I would call ahead because they are not always able to, as Jill said.

No...they told me they won't do that but did assure me that they would have them done and back in the mail the next and they did.

We didn't try to do it the same day but i will say that a few months ago they were working very fast. Documents were received and back out in the mail the next day. A few weeks ago when we were kicked out of PGN we had to send a document back down to the consulate and they took close to a week to get it back out. When we called they said they were very backed up and were trying to get caught back up. Hopefully they have.

I agree with others - if they are not busy and you do not have too many documents, they will do it while you wait. However, if they are busy they do it overnight. Since I commute through Grand Central, its only a minor detour for me, and I would just drop off docs (and pay the fee) in the morning on my way to work and pick up the authenticated docs the next morning on may way back in. I note that very first thing in the morning (ie 8:45-9 am) they always seemed to be busy. Pedro is indeed very helpful.

When we went they were too busy to get it done that same day, but we were able to go in and pick it up the next day or the day after - I don't remember which, but it was very quick.

I've been there three times this year and all three times they were not able to do them while I waited, even though twice I had only one document. But I got them back within a couple of days. They are really very nice there, but very busy with long lines the days I was there.

I was told "no"...maybe they won't officially say they will, but do for some people if they're not busy. They were very fast getting them back to me though. Just a matter of days.

Strange thing. First time I went I had like 14 or 15 documents, the entire dossier. I spoke in Spanish. They would not do it for me same day. The next time I went, several months later, with only 2 or 3 redo documents, and I spoke in English, and they did it for me in less than an hour. (I do remember that it was decidedly less busy the second time I went.)
