Sam stuck close to his dad. The old building was dark, and Sam wasn't sure what might be out in that darkness. All he knew for sure was that his dad was big and brave, and he wasn't afraid of the dark. Sam hoped that one day he would be like his dad: able to walk in darkness just like he would in broad daylight.
Our Lord goes with us into the dark times of our lives. He holds us by the hand and lets us know that we have nothing to fear. Darkness and light are the same to the Lord. He will lead us through our times of fear and bring us back into the light every time.

When I am fearful, Lord, I will reach out to You. Walk with me through the dark times. Fill me with your courage. Teach me to walk in Your light always. Amen.

Clare’s Mom- UPDATE- Our sweet Daughter Clare who is 29 months old, was dignosed on Tuesday the 14th with A.L.L. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Standard risk and we have found out that the Leukemia is not in her spinal fluid or brain.. Which is GREAT!! We are in the hospital again. We started out here on Nov 13th and left on the 21st, ended up back on the 23rd and it dosen't look like we will get to leave for a few more days.... No worries Clare is feeling good and we are ALL OK!!! Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers!! I know that is what is helping me make it through this!

No BC yet but we expect it either yet today or maybe tomorrow. I really pray I (or DH) can travel the week before Christmas, Clare won't have major procedures that week.

Bamagirl- UPDATE on Bus accident-The loss of 3 teenage girls who were on this bus is so shocking!! We've heard that the bus driver survived and they are saying it was a student from the school driving to tech school. The driver was fooling around and clipped the bus. The bus had a blow out and slammed into the concrete guard, hung over the edge and crashed. 2 of the girls died on the scene and 1 a few hours later. There are many students that are in critical condition, icu, surgery. Several were treated and released.

TheresaB-UPDATE- After reviewing the MRI and CT scans with neurologists, radiologists, and neurosurgeons, the drs. believe that Alex has suffered extreme damage to his brain. They are unsure at this time, if he will even make it out of the ICU, and if he does, they are sure he will be extremely impaired. Alex will have an ultrasound of his stomach to determine if he is properly absorbing the fluid that is draining from his shunt. They may do a minor procedure on the shunt to adjust a valve if the neurosurgeons believe this to be a problem. This is because Alex has begun having some minor seizures again, Please continue to pray. We haven't lost our hope, and we haven't lost our Alex. God is still the God of miracles. Bow before Him today and ask Him to spare Alex and/or give us the grace to deal with what each new day will hold.

KKR213-Please pray for my mother who was hospitalized the day after Thanksgiving with what we thought was bronchitis. But her breathing isn't improving and they are doing a catscan to check if it is a blood clot in her lung or cancer. I am so scared. I am just home to get more clothes for John and then drop him off at my sister's before I go to the hospital and wanted to ask for all your prayers





Jessbychurch-I am writing for prayer thoughts and possible encouragment thoughts for one of our fellow forum members. They came back from a visit trip and The baby was sick and needed to go to the doctor, Please keep the baby and the adopting family in your prayers and minds that the family be reunited soon with the baby being well and heal

I haven't had a lot of time lately to be on-line because I leaving to go on a mission trip December 10th to 22nd to Zambia, Africa. We'll be giving Christmas gifts and fixing a Christmas dinner for about 400 street kids. So I've been getting items together for the trip. Please keep praying for my granddaughter and have everyone else to say a special prayer. I can't believe that this has taken so long. But it's going to be alright.

laura jean- adoption for Johnny to go smoothly and that we will be able to adopt Joey after abandonment proceedings if that is God's will.UPDATE-We went to Guat .. Johnny was healthy and handsome.. We are hoping to bring him home before Christmas. We also visited Joey. He was in the hospital in Guat City. He is responding to plasma treatments. His glands have decreased in swelling. They are hoping his health improves enough so they can do the biopsy to rule out lymphoma. If it isn't that then it may be a nasty viral infection, but why does it keep returning?
The abandonment hearing didn't go as planned. Some judge with a peculiar reputation didn't allow it.We need a diagnosis to treat him and to get the abandonment decree. Time is of the essence because of his health and the possible Hague looming


mombyfaith- UPDATE- We took Chloe back to the pediatric pulminologist after being up with her all night coughing every breath. She rotated between throwing up and coughing until she was blue all night. Keep in mind she has been on cefzil antibiotic for the last 36 days, 4 breathing treatments a day and allergy meds.
The pulminologist put her on, 20 day cycle of augmentin antibiotic, advair for the rest of her life she said, increased the breathing treatments to every 2 hours even through the night and put her on liquid prednisone. Just got her over the yeast infection she is keeping to be back on all this. She said if she is not alot better when she goes back next wed. she is going to order a ct scan but doesn't really want to do that because with her age and the asthma it would be risky putting her to sleep. I just don't know what else to do. She has been allergy tested, lung xrays, test for cystic fibrosis, everything.

Mountainmama – UPDATE- . just wanted to ask for prayers for my uncle. I have told you all in the past that he has cancer of the esophagus and has been taking chemo. We went to visit him this weekend and he is really weak and frail.He went to the dr today and the tumor is growing again, they are going to try a different type of chemo or send him to John Hopkins. If this doesn't work they will call in Hospice. We only live 4 hrs apart, but don't get to see him very often. He is a Christian and goes to church, but all prayers will be appreciated.

Packgirl --My dad is still on chemo once a month but his does has been reduced and his doctor is happy with his progress! Not out of the woods yet but any improvement is good news! Frankie is now in pgn! Hoping and praying for a quick resolution.

Lifessence- - praying for quick BC and pink for DS-UPDATE-we found out our I797C expired and INS never notified us and our homestudy agency didn't realize and our agency didn't catch it and here we are wondering why our DD never got PA and our updated I797C - which we have been waiting for over 8 weeks. I finally got through to the INS supervisor and she explained it expired so they can't process what they told me to send in over 8 weeks ago.Going on Tuesday to INS and get fingerprinted again - eventhough they don't expire until Jan 07 - we are taking no more chances

Sara’s Mama- UPDATE-was just informed this morning that we are being considered for a grant that we applied for back inJuly. They make their decision this week. Please praythat we get it. We are maxed out on our loans and we still owe 1/2 on our 2nd adoption. We just got our first sweetie home and our 2nd referrel is in abandonment. We've already been told its gonna cost more to go throught the abandonment. We really could use this grant!!!! So we will have enough funds available on our loan to finish the 2nd adoption.. Our 2nd referrel Lilee as I said is in abandonment. It has been
3 mo. so far and I am really worried something is going to happen because they are not on the ball with the Hague coming we won't get her out or if we do it will be years. Please pray we get her decree real soon

Shoegirl06-A dear friend's daughter - misdiagnosed with the wrong birth defect. her condition now has increasingly worsened and is not expected to live past the age of 7 and will not grow anymore past this point (she's 2 1/2). Please pray for peace and understanding for her family. …


Paramom- they are trying to get a signature on both of or cases. But they are still saying maybe not for another 20 days or more. We are trying to keep the faith in our Lord, knowing that He has this in the palm of His hand.


Melissa Mc-We were waiting for DNA and SWI and now our birthmom is missing. PLease pray that she is found and that she continues with the reliquishment process so the case doesn't go to abandonment

Foradoption- continued healing for my father had surgery near his brain And for my brother-in law -They found a tumor the size of a softball attached to his colon and there was also a spot on his liver.

Mindybeth6- - My uncle had his surgery and shortly after surgery (a few days later) they realized that he was full of infection. He was is ISU for several days and he is not doing well at all. Please pray he can make it through this. As for my step-grandpa...his surgery was wonderful. THere was very little cancer and they feel they caught it very early.. They are going to ONE round of chemo just for precautionary measures.


Mcmom--The Lord has lead us to a little boy in Guatemala who has been hard to place. He will be named Alec Jose. Praying for the Lord's provision every step of the way as this is a huge step out in faith for us

amymole36- UPDATE?-my grandma had 8 heart attacks in 4 days and is in ICU...she's 89, so surgery is too risky.


Faithmakes3- We are in PGN and have been since 6/22. I have been praying that God's right hand of protection would cover our paperwork in PGN blinding anyone to any errors!! I have also been praying that God's right hand of power would place our case on directors desk and would be signed soon!!

Itsinhishands- Maria is our first referral. She is 16mos old now. Some major complications in the case. We are dedicated in waiting this out. I just want to pray to God that if it isn't meant for her to come home to us, then please please watch over her and keep her safe.


ncurry3- My sister is bi-polar and is having a really rough time right now. Her doctor took her off work for 2 weeks and has her medicated. Therefore, my mom and I are really pitching in to take care of my sister's son but I am worried about my sister. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated. She just got put on some new meds so hopefully they will help

Karenb- I travel to Ohio and back from KY for my son's medical appointments. I actually live in KY on the border of TN so I fly from Nashville to Cleveland Ohio with what use to be every week, but switched to a biweekly schedule recently. Anyway, it looks like we will be continuing to travel for Caleb's medical appointments till sometime in January. So, I'd appreciate continued prayers for our safety while traveling

Jchrapcyn- we are adopting from Korea- but we need mighty prayers right now. We just got an update on our daughter Rachel- her head measurements have always been small. They finally decided to do an MRI and it shows that her brain is abnormal- she has cortical atrophy- and is at risk for serious developmental delays or disability. Please pray for her health and safety and that she can come home soon- And pray that we have the strength to get through this- right now it feels like more than I can bear.

TruthDefenders- -update- couple of weeks ago, I announced that we had officially filed for abandonment. Well, it was a miscommunication. Our facilitator is still trying to figure out the best plan of action, because our case is so darn complicated. It looks like he will not be able to file until mid-December now, because of holidays and other things. He will continue to try to get the birthmom in for DNA, since he's got to wait anyway. So, we're still in limbo


Jandsmom- The doctor found something in both of my moms breasts. She is going for a biopsy today. Please pray that nothing is wrong

Lotterino-please say a prayer for our little boy, he has a condition called Ventricular Septal Defect which means he has a hole in his heart. The pediatric cardiologist in Guat says it is highly likely he will need surgery to close the hole in a few months. And I just got off the phone with a pediatric cardiologist here near us (who just HAPPENS to speak Spanish, thank you Lord) who was able to translate his echocardiogram results and also thinks it likely he will need surgery. So pray for our little guy that God closes up the hole without surgery, and that if he does need the surgery that he will be able to have it here at home.


Jhrn22- my niece was playing Powder Puff Football at School . Her best friend and another girlfriend were horsing around with their car and her best friend climbed on the back of the car and the other girl drove away, she flew off and hit her head. She is now in surgery they are trying to relieve the brain swelling which sounds quite severe. UPDATE-This poor girl is in a coma with a double skull fracture. Her and her family really need all the prayers they can get

They did a biopsy on my mother on Monday but it was inconclusive. They want to wait to try a different procedure once her oxygen levels have improved. A blood clot was ruled out. We are being hopeful that it is something less serious than cancer. Please continue to pray for her. Thank you!
