Hi-
Just my opinion, but I would ask your question but add COMPLETED adoptions. If you love your agency and have COMPLETED your adoption. I think a lot can change from the beginning or middle of the process to the end. Especially with the law change threat lingering, I would want someone who finished an adoption and their agency was excellent. (or someone who used an agency and could not/did not complete the adoption due to the agency and so on. I don't want to leave those out who used an agency but switched therefore didn't 'complete' it but would certainly have valuable input). When the going gets tough sometimes those wonderful agencies leave you high and dry. Not always but a more realistic view of an agency would be after the adoption is complete. I used to answer these posts before my adoption was complete by PM'ing how great my agency was, because I loved my agency and how wonderful they were. Now I am plagued with guilt because things certainly changed by the end of our adoption,and I hope no one listened to me.  If you get agency info from people in process and its not yet complete, that is great. But I would then take that info with a grain of salt until you then research the agency they told you about with clients who have completed adoptions and see how you feel then. I would ask on here and other forums not just the list of clients an agency will give you. Just my opinion! I wish someone would have given me this advice! I am sure this a great place to find out about wonderful agencies, there are so many families on here! Good luck! Shelly
