Homestudy-PGN KO question?
I read tonight on this site that someone got KO from PGN because their Homestudy said" recommended for adoption of a child" rather then "approved".
I am curious if anyone else has had this happen? Has anyone recently exited PGN with their homestudy saying" recommended"? I am concerned about my homestudy and am entering PGN soon. Please help!!!

Birth of Baby Boy: 7/17/2006 Accepted referral: 7/19/2006  POA in Guatemala :8/2006 (sometime early Aug-delayed at Guatemala consulate for 3 weeks)  First visit #1: 8/30/2006  DNA and SWI scheduled: 9/22/2006 DNA and SWI reschedued for : 9/28/2006  DNA and SWI completed: 9/28/2006  DNA match(99.99%): 10/9/2006  Exited Family court & SW report released: 10/2006(exact date???) Pre-Approval (PA): 11/9/2006 Was told I entered PGN on 11/17/06, but PGN receipt says 11/21/2006.  Wonderful visit trip #2: 11/21-11/27/2006 1/18/07- OUT OF PGN!!!!!!!No Ko's. Praise God. 2/5/07-GCBC received  2/8/07-Submitted to Embassy for "pink"  2/14/07- "Pink", tho' 2/13/07 was stamped on the pink slip. 2/19/07- Son placed in my arms forever.2/21/07-Embassy appointment-8:00am 2/22/07-Pick up visa appointment 2/23/07-Fly Home-Home forever 4/5/07- California readoption and name change!

I have seen lots of home studies with this wording. In all honesty I do try to change it whenever possible, but I know many cases have made it through with the 'recommended' wording.
Sounds like a case of PGN being picky and that is likely just one reviewer doing that.

I just checked my homestudy and it says recommend and both my kids have recently gotten out and they had two different reviewers. It sound like you have a very difficult reviewer.

That was my case...just knowing others have made it through with this wording makes me even angrier...no offense to you, it just burns me up! He's almost a year old!

Well.....ours says "qualified".....so shall see. We had troubles already with our home study state side.....I'm sure we will have trouble now that we are in PGN. ARGH!!!! Melodie

Small Stuff
I don't think you can possibly worry about all of the things PGN could kick you out for, so just let it happen. I am not really that relaxed, but of all of the things I thought we would be k/o'd for I did not think it would be b/c they wanted a DNA report that did not have to be included in our file.
 I think it just depends on what reviewer you get. I just hope they are doing all of their k/o's at the same time! If you read the forum...and I do A LOT the k/o's seem all very different and mostly idiotic. Praying for you to avoid the previo altogether! Karen
