We first entered pgn Nov 6th 2005, that makes 368 days and we aren't any closer. WE just found out that if the attorney is unable to get the other judge to sign our resolution to proceed back into pgn, she is going to give up on the case. So not only have we been to visit 4 times, we may loose her after 16 months.
I am sick of this process, sick of looking at a room that has been decorated for a year, and of course missing her 1st birthday and now what will be her 2nd Christmas.
I haven't posted much for obvious reasons but I still check in daily. I hope you all hear good news soon.

Also too long

It's so sad to see everybody's story and it's hard to remain positive and optimistic. We started in PGN in the end of March, had the case pulled over the summer, and now are back in after a KO.

Please, please, please let us long-timers out!!!

Guess I am officially a member of this club .... I accepted the referral of my daughter in late February- she was 4 1/2 months old at the time....I received my dna results this week... first attempt to get authorization was in late March.... There were numerous rejections from the embassy....I'm hoping and praying that things will now go more smoothly.....good luck to all of us

Until I read the posting from Kim, above, I thought we'd been in PGN the longest. We went in for the 2nd time (once PA rec'd) on Nov 28, 2005. As I show below, we've been waiting for a decision from a judge since April. We finally have a court date next Thurs, 11/16, and pray that the judge will decide in our favor, saying that the adoption can proceed. I try not to think that this can fall through but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't ever occur to me. At the same time, part of me believes that somehow God will allow us to have our daughter home for Christmas. I guess it's this hope that helps us get through it.

Here's praying that all of our children come home soon.

Although we just got home last night with Emilee, we are unfortunate members of this club.

We took the referrals of Ronaldo and Julia back in May of 2005 (yes, 18 months ago). As you can see by their timeline, things have not gone well with their case. We had to give them back for the 5th time after another visit this past week. It is killing me. We anticipate that we will still be in it at this time next year. THAT is disheartening, and I pray that we can still bring them home.

add us to the list ...

I'd rather be on the OUT list, but we've been in PGN since January. It seems like forever. Our little angel turned 13 months this week, so we've been hoping to get out! It is tough, for sure, but each day is one day closer! We've got to be strong for our little ones : )

Thanks for sharing all of your stories. Ours sounds similar to many of them.

Our baby girl will turn one on Christmas day. It pains me to think of not being with her on this day.

Please, let all of us out !!!

My husband and I just turned 40 and this is our first child. Like many of you we were told to expect our baby home by Halloween and now I am holding on to a thread of hope that maybe he will be home by Christmas.

Like many of you, I have good days and very dark days. Let's keep the faith long-timers, the babies do come home!

former long timer

[quote=jennifervan]Hello,
Wow...it just hit me that I am such a longtimer that I started a group like this one (called the Platinum Club) that lasted a couple of months...that was a while ago.

Jennifervan - so sorry to see you are still stuck.

I am a former long timer - it took 14 months to bring my daughter home. I knew I was struggling though the process (started the process in Jan 04, changed agencies and countries in April 05) - but thought I was not showing it to everyone.

The number of people who have said it is so good to see you happy tells me that I wasn't hiding very well.

I hope all of you get some good news soon. I think often of this forum, but rarely come to visit anymore.

ps - my daughter is wonderful!

Stacy

Just bumping this to keep the thread going. Would you guys like to create a list kind of like Jennifer Van's "Platinum Club"? I don't mind creating it, but I don't know if there is enough interest. Just let me know.

I'm interested in a "Platinum Club", not that I'm at all happy about being a long timer .
But this thread has been a real eye opener.
I had no idea there were so many of us.
Thanks for this thread

I also would be interested but I kind of feel like it should somehow be a PM distribution that we can share any info from additional hired help and maybe see other factors that are similar about our cases - i.e. same facilitator, agency, etc.
