Very good points!

And, we are forced to reveal every intimate detail of our lives for complete strangers to scrutinize. But, we cannot freely share information with other families who are suffering through the same emotional turmoil.

ok these are not about agencies

just some thoughts we have been kicking around -

wouldn't it be nice "IF" all agencies had the same required docs.

if all documents were worded exactly the same (witness statement, POA, medical letters, etc.) this would make our dossiers identical outside of homestudy and our personal information.

OR

if PGN only had to look to make sure dossier was complete, SWI is correct, BC for Bmom and child are correct and then stamp and sign it OUT!

OR

if every step had a solid time frame - (except minor bmom's)

OR

if like other countries they did NOT do a thing with your dossier but look at it, stamp it and file it away with their country documents for each child?

hmmmm...now only if the Hague can force a true system into place.

i saw a post with a woman who adopted from Kaz (our original country) time frame is quick - predictible and they do nothing but file your dossier. yes other countries have their own issues - but NONE are as ridiculous as what we all go through in PGN. none of it in my humble opinion is in the best interest of the children who are waiting.

i don't have the answers but it would be great if they could get all required sign offs at once in the very beginning. i know there is a reason to keep the child with the bmom or family if they change their mind. again - not sure what the answer to that is either. in most cases is it really better for the bmom to change her mind and take them back knowing they don't have the means or ability to care for a child??? ugh, this is such big stuff.

sorry to get off topic but i thought it fit - don't bash me please
