clarion suites, notarized passport?

Does anyone know if the clarion suites is walking distance to the embassy? And also if they have a car to bring you to/from the airport?

Do the copies of our passport need to be notarized for the embassy for pickup?

Thanks!

The Clarion does have an airport shuttle. I don't think it is walking distance from the Embassy but I know it isn't terribly far (I will have a better idea tomorrow as I will be there for a visit). I believe the notarized passport copy is needed to be submitted for pink and I think it goes into effect the end of this month.

Are you going down soon?

Well, I'm not sure how far you want to walk but the car ride to the embassy from the Clarion was about 10 minutes or so, of course with a lot of stop lights and waiting but I wouldn't think it's exactly walking distance. I believe that if you arrange it through the hotel they can get you a safe cab ride over to the embassy.

We've stayed at the Clarion 4 times and they always have a shuttle waiting for you at the airport. There will actually be a guy holding a sign with your name on it. It is not in walking distance from the Embassy, but it is not far. Our facilitator took us; however, the Clarion has taxis of their own and will be more than happy to get you one. We used their taxi a few times. They are very helpful.

Sorry, I can't help you with the passport question...I think that is something new?!?!?

If you go to guatadopt.com there is information on the new passport requirement. There have also been several threads here the past week or so that you could search for.
