Hi,

Does anyone know how long it is taking the NYC office to issue the I-171H after doing fingerprints. I sent in the 600A last month and plan on mailing in my homestudy tomorrow.

Also, has anyone had any luck requesting an appointment on a particular day in the NYC office? Did it delay the appointment considerably?

I am on Long Island. DH and I had our appointment on Long Island for fingerprints. We had to wait just about 8 weeks for approval. Do you mean approval??

We live in Westchester county and had our fingerprint appt. in New Rochelle. Once the NYC CIS office had all our docs and fingerprints, we had the I-171H 2-1/2 weeks later.

Also Westchester County. After we sent in our homestudy, fingerprint appointment was 2 weeks later (also in New Rochelle) and 171H found its way to us late July - 4 weeks after fingerprints. I think Natalie (nattyloo) went through more recently so her timeframe (which was faster than ours) is probably a better gauge. Part of our issue was that Manny at the NYCIS office (case officer who was reviewing our file) went on vacation for a week in July.

We live in Manhattan.
Our USCIS fingerprint appt was 7/17. We had final approval
(171-H) on 8/14. The process was surprisingly efficient.
