So. . .we've been waiting for almost 3 weeks to get submitted to the US Embassy - does that make any sense?
I'm trying to understand the process but I just don't understand what can take so long. Don't they just take some papers to the Embassy and hand them over? Anyone know anything about this? I can't seem to get an answer from our agency on this. I also don't understand how we could have ** signoff and the birth certificate before we had PGN approval - but that's another issue!

The Embassy only takes a certain number of files daily, so the line begins sometimes early in the morning, sometimes as early as 1:00 a.m., so first come first served. Each person in line is given a number and when they reach the maximum number of files they are taking in that day, no other people get seen. So, the object is to get there early, early, early in the morning, or trade numbers (with a little $) with someone who's been there a long time - which happens by the way. If your attorney is just getting there at opening time, that's why your case is never getting filed. This happens off and on at the Embassy when they are short-staffed.

I'm sorry you've been waiting so long. I don't have an answer to your question about the embassy.
The ** stands for birthmom. If you use the letters B and M together, it automatically gets replaced by ** because some folks find those two letters offensive.
