I found out today from a friend who was inquiring about their case that PGN is currently as of today signing off cases from Sept 20. That would be entries or re-entries. So it sounds like they must be doing SOME work. Of course many people have been waiting long before Sept 20th, but this is I guess a loose pattern that they follow.

Just thought I would share that for you all of you who may be close to that date-

I justdont get it. They say that theres no ryhme or reason to the way the PGN ebbs and flows. So this means no one entering before 9/20 or after 9/20 gets reviewed? That's odd. Everyone says there no system.

You prbably do not know the answer to this Stacey - but was she referring to (1) examiners as signing off on 9/20 files in order to send to Barrios, (2) Barrios signing off on 9/20 files that have reached his desk or (3) mr/ms computer person logging 9/20 files for actual outs? If its (1) or even (2), than there could still be some gap in time before we see the outs - but I hope its not much of gap!!!! Even if we do not get the detail, I appreciate your passing on what you heard - Thanks much!

Well where the heck are all the files from the beginning of September then??? I'm happy to hear they're working, but there seems to be a bit of a gap, and nothing is coming out.

I wondering if this just means that not only are they signing off on some of the older files but also have signed off on some as recent as Sept 20th
We see this all the time that people who have only been in for a short time get signed off on.

Such strange info--of course it caught my eye because we were re-submitted on 9/20 after 4 KO's the day after we went in. Of course we all want to get out NOW but I would rather the earlier waiters get pushed through first even if it means waiting a few more weeks. At least then there would be a method to the madness.

That said, my agency emailed me and mentioned that I might hear something this week or next based on their 6 previous cases--I just hope it's not another KO for us!

Ok, I'm slightly confused and these days, believe me it doesn't take much....We were originally submitted July 28, but got a KO and resubmitted the last week of Sept. So, does PGN go by the original submission or the KO submission??

I'm curious - how in the world would they know this info and what the heck happened to the cases submitted prior to them? I need to stop reading postings because it only makes me

Could it mean that everyone that's not being investigated, in minors court, or ko'd is just waiting to get out now up to Sept. 20. Maybe now they are working on Sept. 20 and up cases because the other cases have been ko'd or are waiting to be signed out or entered into the computer or whatever the last step of getting out is? I'm going to look at it this way.

Hi Guys-
Been busy this evening and just checked back in. Sorry for the confusion. In the past people have posted what date Mr. Barrios is currently signing off on. The Sept 20th dates are dates or resubmission or first time entry. Certainly older cases are getting processed too, but they seem to have a loose system where they "work through" cases. In other words, you probably won't see very many people getting out who entered PGN on Sept 30th because they haven't "worked up" to that date yet.

Now we all know, too, "miraculous" cases that have snuck through - even a couple who were entered in October and got out. I'm not sure if these are just flukes or happened to land on the right pile at the right time but again, there does seem to be a LOOSE system to the way they proceed to sign and release cases.

Is everyone just as confused as ever?

I'm with the rest of you all. Today is the sixth week since we have been resubmitted and while I am happy to see people who have not waited as long as me get out I am so ready to have my little boy home hopefully before he turns one.

So I'm sure this is the million dollar question.... but....

How does PGN work? Does your file sit there for a month or more before anyone even looks at it? And then once it is reviewed, you either get a kick out or an approval? Is it that simple?

If you get a kick out, do you go back to the end of the line when you go back in?

Our agency said we might not always find out when the kick out is on the Guatemalan side, is this why some of you have been waiting so long? Is it because you keep getting kicked out on the Guatemalan side?

And how does minors court work? Do you go into PGN first and then they see you have a minor birthmother and then you get kicked out for that? Or does that happen before you enter PGN? How long does the minor thing take? What is involved?

This process is so confusing....
