Home for over 1 month!
We had our babies for almost 2 months now! I can't believe it.. time is just flying by!
The kiddos are doing great.. Our daughter grieved tremdously and it was tough the first few weeks. She refused to allow me to care for her. In fact, she would scratch, bite, hit, and pinch me. She would scream if she saw me or if she heard my voice. It was tough the first few weeks. However, I practiced some attachment techniques and she has made HUGE progress!!  For those wondering: we visited twice prior to pick up and she never had a problem before, she tends to be a very easy going, relaxed child, and she is almost 9 months old. Our son was a bit sad at first, but attached to us right away. We thought he would have the tought time since he likes and depends on routine and schedules. For those of you stuck in PGN: I just wanted to offer you hope. Our daughter was stuck in PGN for almost 4 months and I was feeling pretty depressed and frustrated during that time. But the joy of having them home surpasses everything we went through the last 3 years to bring our children home!  For those of you getting close to PU: Congrats! Be ready for a fast ride to the PU trip! And if you haven't considered it, I HIGHLY recommend staying in Antigua. It is such a beautiful town and they have great hotels.

FC SW to correct errors on final FC report 1/5/07 FC report corrected, now fixing error on US SW report! HS addendum to ministry of foreign affairs and translation 1/18/07 in PGN!!!!! 2/13/07 KO for missing docs that aren't missing!  2/19/07 re-entered PGN 4/6-4/15 VISIT TRIP #2 PLANNED 4/16 OUT OF PGN   5/9/07 PINK!!!! 5/22/07 embassy appt. 5/20-5/26 at the Marriott in GC 5/26-6/1 staying in Antigua 6/2/07 Erick is home forever!!!!

They look so precious together!!! I am glad to hear that chiquitita is making progress on getting through her grieving and the attachment parenting has helped. I know you must be crazy busy with those two cuties - so want to thank you so much for the update on the kiddos and the adorable pictures (and I hope that you continue to keep us mind and up to date).

Oh gosh Myrna...they are ADORABLE!!!!
Their smiles say it all and I can see they are thriving with lots of love and stability. And I love that little pink sweater on Malia. Emilee has the exact same one and I can't wait to see her in it!
