Spring Beginners Week of 10/15/06
I didn't see a thread for us last week so I thought I would start one for this week. How is everyone doing? Seeing progress?
We had DNA taken on 10/6 and are waiting to enter FC and for the DNA results so we can start the wait for PA.

Thanks for starting the thread Michelle. Congrats on having your DNA taken.
Unfortuntately we have nothing to report this week other than having booked the flights for our visit trip next month. We are anxiously awaiting PA and to hear about exiting FC. We are also about a week overdue for updated medicals and photos--just about dieing over here! :|

We are doing good here. We entered PGN on Wednesday 10-11. So now we just sit and wait....and wait and wait some more. But at least we are IN and we happy about it. We leave in 10 days for visit teip #2. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Michelle - thanks for starting the thread, it will be good to catch up. Also, congrats on getting DNA test taken! After our many DNA delays, we received our match last Friday (yeah
 ). Now we are waiting for PA so I will not have anything major to report until first half of November (we are KO'd from PGN, waiting for PA). Hope everyone is making great strides!!

We had the best news ever on Thursday when we received the referral of our daughter-to-be. We are working on the POA this week. Hope to have it Fed Exed to the agency by Friday. Hope you all make great strides forward this week.

Oh Natalie...she is so beautiful. I know how heavenly it is those first few days after the referral. It feels like a dream! And then I was like....OK...lets get moving now. HAH. I hope you have a quick process.
CONGRATS to all the good news about DNA and such. I am glad to see us all progressing. Now lets get these kiddo's home....soooner then later please!

nattyloo- congrats on the referral! She is BEAUTIFUL! So exciting to see some of us spring beginners moving ahead.
We are still on target, waiting in PGN, hoping to hear about a KO soon so we can see someone is looking at our case, ya know? Our agency said to expect 2-3 more months in PGN so I am trying to mentally buckle down and not expect anything until after the holidays. But, we just wanna get him home so after the holidays (early next year, please!) would be great. We are still waiting on an update. It's been 10.5 weeks now!! But, our agency said this week so. . . everything has been going so well with this adoption that we are very lucky  I'm trying positive self-talk, can you tell  Hope everyone has a great week!

Well our latest update is filled with good and bad!!!
Starting with the Good News, as of 10/13 We are OUT of Family Court Bad News, During the review of our documents the attorney found some errors, one of which is the Birth Mothers Cedula where she has to be present to correct and they "are having a difficult time locating her" UUUGGGG if its not one thing its another. I am very glad that our attorney found these errors before entering PGN, But now I want them all corrected so we can get IN PGN!!!!!!!! Congrats to all of you for your updates on DNA and Referrals and getting IN PGN!! Hopefully by the next update I can tell you that we are IN PGN

ICongrats to all so far for each step in the process.
We received our documents back from the Chicago Consulate today. I will send them off to Guatemala tomorrow!!! Yea! Then it's all out of our hands. We are planning a trip Thanksgiving weekend... had to postpone it from Nov 2. Kinda bummed... but so looking forward to seeing the girls. Waiting to hear what has happened on our cases.... will keep you posted.

Nothing new here. We have 1 month in PGN behind us now and I am visiting the end of this week. I am flying down with my best friend Thurs night and we will be coming back Tuesday afternoon. I have Evvy's suitcase packed, now just need to get my stuff together. Kind of funny packing for the baby who isn't even flying (this time at least!).

Hi, everyone, great to hear all your news! We've been very busy the last 2 weeks.
McKinley We got DNA match for our son on 10/11 with a result of 99.99%! We are now waiting to hear that we have entered FC. Baby Girl Our homestudy updates were done Friday, approved Sunday, and will be finalized tomorrow! We have every document now except FBI and GBI reports! We should have those this week or early next week. Most the the dossier will be state certified by then, and my mom is traveling down to finish up any county or state certs and run everything to the Embassy next week!

And you can FINALLY add us to the newest referral list!!We finally got a referral of our baby girl born on Oct 4th. I was just about to give up hope on getting one! I don't know how to post her beautiful picture but stay tuned to a new thread (hopefully tonight) when my DH can post it for me. We have decided to name her Gisela Pilar. I am so in love. We have already sent her POA down to the Hogar. It should have arrived today. Now I'm hoping that the rest of the process goes a little faster that it took to get this referral!!
