We Have PINK!!!!!
Just got the call this evening. My agency just happened to be working late today and got the fax of our PINK slip. YIPPPEEEEEE!!!! We were submitted on Monday so it took 2 days just like they said. Our Embassy appointment is next Friday, Oct. 6, but we won't get his Visa until Tuesday, Oct. 10 because of Columbus day. So we will fly out next Wed. and return the following Wed. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it!!!
Question: Anyone who has traveled in the last week or two, what was the temperature like? Was it warm enough for the baby to wear summer clothes or did you need long pants and long sleeves? I'm bringing both, but most of my cutsie outfits are summer ones.

Just wanted to say congrats - and have a great trip. I was there last year in Oct and it was cool during the day, probably high 60's or so, and quite chilly at night. And it rained ALOT!! Probably pants and a short-sleeved shirt would be best, but it may be warm enough a few days to wear shorts.

Congrats!! I just returned from Guatemala. It is warm in the daytime, but gets chilly at night. It rained every day for the past 3 weeks. In general, the Guatemalans feel that babies should be covered up. A hotel staff member told me that in their culture, letting a baby have bare arms and legs seems like neglect. I dressed my son in cotton slacks and long-sleeve tops whenever going out of the room.
