But just as we love the special smell that comes with a drought-breaking rain, God loves the aroma of his children's joy, especially when he is the source of its delight!

Holy God and tender Father, You are my great delight. When all others fail, You are still God. You are my rock and fortress, You are my tender Shepherd, and You are my solid Mountain that cannot be shaken or moved. Your blessings and grace shower down upon me and fill me with joy. I can't wait for the day I get to see You face to face and delight in Your presence forever. Until then, I will rejoice in anticipation.

Martha Ford-UPDATE-Julia's case was submitted back into Family Court yesterday, Thursday, Sept. 14th.Anderson's new dossier is in Foreign Affairs. We are hoping that we will have everything out of translation by the time we get his **'s certifications so we can be submitted to FC and for DNA authorization.
We will be visiting Anderson and Julia from Oct. 5 -9th. and celebrating Anderson's 2nd B-Day with him on Oct. 8th.

mombyfaith-UPDATE- Chloe is presently taking 2 steriods in a nebulizer 3 and 4 times a day and still having problems through the night. I have seen a big improvement with her during the day after she has had her meds by mouth and the breathing treatments but nighttime is the worse. She wakes up coughing so bad that she throws up in her bed every night.
my bio ds Brent (17) just lost a very close friend on friday, Brooks died while watching tv through the night and the coroner says it was asthma. Brooks had only been married for a couple of weeks and his wife is also a good friend of Brent's. Would you please remember Brent and Jamie (wife) in your prayers.

Baybeeboy—UPDATE-Unfortunately, not much has changed. The civil registrar's office has refused to cooperate, and our case is still not back in PGN. Our case has been basically stagnant since being kicked out of PGN on January 30th. Our son is now more than 15 months old, Our fingers are crossed that we are still able to get him home before Christmas (since our agency had told us that he would be home before LAST Christmas).

LCG—-Her name is Mariana. She is only 6 weeks old. Our little girl is not gaining any weight. and has only gained approx 3 ounces since birth. The measurements are correct and she is being closely followed by the Dr but still no weight gain. We are hoping it is a lactose intolerance issue, but I would guess that switching formula's would have resolved that by now. Also, if you could please say a prayer for her, I would be grateful. She is so little, I am really concerned for her.

djchris- UPDATE-200+ days and I dont have dna...it seems I HAD dna auth, but there was a typo, when they went to get that corrected, other things were suddenly needed to be in order... but still no word...Meanwhile she turns 1 year old on 10/7... I'm still planning to visit for her b-day....
Meanwhile, my 87 year old dad is in intensive care, his congestive heart failure is getting the best of him, they are giving him at best a few more days or a week or two, not the months that it will take to get her home....please keep him (and Isabella) in your thoughts and prayers

Lifessence- -In PGN still with 1 please pray for traveling mercies for me with our 2 bio dd's this thursday - for our health during this trip and the ease of travel home with our 9 month old ds. please also pray for our ds that is stuck in PGN - that his case moves through the system quickly without another KO - that our DD's adoption process moves quickly - that DNA will not be too hard for her to go through seeing her Bmom once more.

PRSALA- I want to request prayers for my sister-in-law, had surgery on her spine to remove a tumor that has been causing her a lot of pain. pray that there are no complications from it and that the mass is benign.

Kris-UPDATE- We have been in PGN since June 14th. We just found out we were KO'd. We do not know when. Our baby will be 5 months old next week, Please pray for a speedy process through the PGN

Mindybeth6- for my grandpa. The initial tests showed very high potassium levels..not sure what that means but I guess that translates somehow to heart problems. He hasn't been doing to well the last few years. . Please say a prayer for him.

Mcmom-UPDATE-The Lord has lead us to a little boy in Guatemala who has been hard to place. Now he has a forever family!!We sent our first set of papers and our POA into our agency today! . He will be named Alec Jose. Praying for the Lord's provision every step of the way as this is a huge step out in faith for us

Faithmakes3- We are in PGN and have been since 6/22. We have been praying for that miracle phone call to come very soon!! I have been praying that God's right hand of protection would cover our paperwork in PGN blinding anyone to any errors!! I have also been praying that God's right hand of power would place our case on directors desk and would be signed soon!!

Itsinhishands- Maria is our first referral. She is 16mos old now. Some major complications in the case. We are dedicated in waiting this out. I just want to pray to God that if it isn't meant for her to come home to us, then please please watch over her and keep her safe.


ncurry3- My sister is bi-polar and is having a really rough time right now. Her doctor took her off work for 2 weeks and has her medicated. Therefore, my mom and I are really pitching in to take care of my sister's son but I am worried about my sister. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated. She just got put on some new meds so hopefully they will help

Julaine- three weeks ago now we found out my 15 year old had a knee displacement disorder in her left knee (after 4 years of pain, MRIs, x-rays, specialists and all )and she started therapy for it about two weeks ago . Then we last week we found out my 18 year old had plantar fasticious (not sure of spelling) and the same knee displacemtent disorder in both knees. Today she went for her evaluation and her knees are quite bad but because she has been horseback riding her muscles are in good shape. She will be starting therapy as well. Well then today we have been at the doctor most of the day and we found out the 15 year old has a lower back stress fracture and has to go for MRI and Cat Scan Tuesday!! I feel so bad that they have been in so much pain for so long and I was not able to find out what was wrong with them ! And I need strength and guidance because I am the one who has to take them to the therapy alone as well ! Also I need prayers that the MRI and Cat Scan with not show any further damage to the back

Karenb- I travel to Ohio and back from KY for my son's medical appointments. I actually live in KY on the border of TN so I fly from Nashville to Cleveland Ohio with what use to be every week, but switched to a biweekly schedule recently. Anyway, it looks like we will be continuing to travel for Caleb's medical appointments till sometime in January. So, I'd appreciate continued prayers for our safety while traveling

Jchrapcyn- we are adopting from Korea- but we need mighty prayers right now. We just got an update on our daughter Rachel- her head measurements have always been small. They finally decided to do an MRI in Korea and it shows that her brain is abnormal- she has cortical atrophy- and is at risk for serious developmental delays or disability. Please pray for her health and safety and that she can come home soon- we keep getting delays from Korea. And pray that we have the strength to get throught this- right now it feels like more than I can bear.

Wvamom- --I wonder if dh would consider adopting again? I am really seeking God's wisdom and direction.By the way, Wes's hip is doing great now--he spent an hour on the treadmill

Keith andkristy-We were hoping to hear PINK yesterday, instead we heard that the Embassy wouldn't issue PINK b/c of our I171H form. Please pray for this misunderstanding to be corrected. So, we emailed a copy again to them and I'll be calling Immigration to have them cable another one. I'm freaking out a little bit. If you think about it, please say a prayer that this is just a misunderstanding and that we'll get it straightened out quickly.

Dac_cincy- I lost my job 5 weeks ago, I had an interview this past Monday and I have not heard back from it. I really need to start working soon as I am single and I should be going into PGN anytime now, so I need to have money…..


Guatmommy2be- UPDATE: My sister is still pregnant. I personally think she will go into labor this week, she has been in pain for a week now.. Her tests are all fine, as is her diabetes. I will keep everyone updated.


Saranbr- All our documents are in Guatemala now so we are praying for a quick process to bring our little three year old home.

Krambk- Please add my MIL to the Prayer List, We found out today that her Cancer cells are starting to raise again which means the Cancer is growing again.
She was diagnosed almost a year ago with Pancreatic Cancer and has been fighting it with weekly Chemo treatments and her cancer cell counts have been dropping all along until today they have over doubled since last month, she will get a CT scan in a couple a weeks to see where the new growth is
For me quitting smoking..to have the perserverance to do it.


Theather-Gabie will be 4 months old on the 8th and I was hoping to be out of PGN any time in the next week or so. Tuesday night I received a call from my agency. Gabie had rolled off the bed at her foster mothers house and is in the hospital in critical condition. She was nearly unconscious and having seizures when they got her to the Doctor. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and was in intensive care on a ventilator since then. UPDATE-She has been weaned off the ventilator and has been moved out of intensive care. However she is not really awake. The doctor said she lost alot of blood and as a result has large areas of her brain that have suffered damage due to loss of oxygenation. While he can not estimate the severity of her injury at this point, he did indicated she will more than likely be severely developementally disabled. Please keep the prayers coming.

Monday (Sept. 18) the PGN reviewer interviewed our little girl's birth mother, and we will not know his decision for another week, then at least another month in PGN. Our little girl is 7 1/2 years old, and the waiting is very difficult for her. Please add us to the prayer chain. God bless all of you and your little ones.

Dear Friends,

I accepted a job offer today!!!! Thank you all for praying for me, this job is an answer to prayer:
I will be able to work from home, I get great benefits including adoption benefits, I got a raise over what I was making previously, etc!!! God is great and he is good, ALL THE TIME.

Now, I just need to bring my son home. But, I know that God is failthful and he will bring my son and I together in his prefect timing.

Thanks so much for all the prayers and including our friend in this chain these last 10 months. Today our friend and mother of my DH's 6 year old Godson lost her battle with ovarian canver. Diagnosed last Thanksgiving, she is finally at peace but leaves behind her husband and 2 sons...just 8 and 6 years old. She was just 34 years old...

Update: Our little girl had a blood infection and several transfusions. She has also been diagnosed with a rare parasite and is too young to take the proper treatment so they are going to have to try another one. We need some strength and guidance. She still is sick and all of these situations could leave her with some severe consequences.
