Just curious how many are out of PGN and how long it's taking you to get your bc's and pink? Within our agency, it seems to be taking a horribly LONG time for this now and I'm just wondering if it's happening everywhere? Is it because the Embassy is overwhelmed now that cases finally started coming out of PGN? Will it only get worse?

Ugh! It's always something, isn't it?

We just got out tuesday; our agency think we will have our BC next week, will be submitted to the embassy wednesday or thursday and get pink the next week. ( I can only hope they're right!)

Come on! Noone else? Noone else is having problems getting their pink?????? Wow! It just really seems like our agency has so many now waiting for pink! I just figured it would be our next problem area and wanted to get prepared! Also just read a post that it took someone 2 weeks to get their BC from Mixco and I've always heard Mixco was the QUICKEST place to get a bc from and, of course, our daughter was born in Mixco! It's what I thought would be the EASIEST part of our process! Man oh man! Each and every step of this process is getting hard! Each and every little step! How frustrating!

I've noticed so many different timelines here and there are many variables. I'm no expert as others on this site, but you need to consider where Birth Certificates are issued, is it GC or regional, how does your coordinator get those processed, who picks them up, etc. You also need to consider the caseload at the embassy.

Our first child's case went from PGN to Embassy appointment in 10 days. I've noticed 2 weeks to 6 weeks here on the forum.

We got out of PGN on 9/6 and haven't heard anything about pink yet. I am not sure if we have been submitted yet or not. Our BC is from Santa Catarina Pinula, and they are issued very quickly. I expect I will hear something next week. I will post when I hear.

We were out on the 1st and they told us to expect 3 weeks. Our Embassy appt is 3 wks to the day they said. Once we were submitted for pink it took about a week to get.

We have been out of pgn since Aug 3...got the gcbc on the 23rd...submitted for pink shortly after that...then we received a kickout (I-72)... that should be taken care of by now....so we are waiting for our pink slip again.

So...we are 6 weeks right now waiting on pink

I know that is NOT what people want to hear...but this is our reality.

Also, the Protocolo needs to be prepared and signed by the birth mother before the BC can even be requested. That could be the day after exiting PGN, or take days or weeks depending on the situation.

Our daughter's case took 46 days from exiting PGN to Pink and our son's 31 days (and that was with a POA from his birthmother) so I feel your pain!

PINK ISSUED....09/13/06..Usually takes 48 hrs after submtd to Embassy, but they were back logged because of Labor Day..thats what my agency told me..
However, I do have a friend (using the same agency)that her baby was born in Mixco..and the same attorney is handling her case, and the paperwork for her baby's Birth Certificate was submitted on the same day as mine, she just got word today, that the Birth Certificate was picked up yesterday, but they can not submit it to Embassy until Monday because of Guatemala's holiday today (Independ day)..she was told she should have pink Wednesday or Thursday... Mixco is taking approx 2 weeks (according to our agency).

OUT of PGN on Sept. 4th - got word today that we got an objection in civil registry so we will not get our GCBC until probably the end of next week......

Then on to PINK!!!

We got out of PGN on 9/13 and our BC is coming from Mixco also. Our agency said to expect travel in 3 weeks. I Hope so!!

Out 9/14; apply for Mixco BC next week; Agency stated 3.5 weeks untill we hear when our embassy appt will be. If it comes sooner all the better.

We just heard that we had a GCBC yesterday (9-14) but they had an error. Our attorney is supposed ot pick it up on Monday, submit it on Tuesday. We are anticipating Pink on Thrusday.

we are waiting for PINK --- we exited PGN on 5 Sept and received GCBC on 14 Sept (they submitted for it on 6 Sept) and are being submitted to Embassy, hopefully, Monday or Tuesday depending on translation time .

We were out of PGN 9/6, submitted to the Embassy 9/11 and recieved pink 9/13 (but didn't find out until 9/14). I think ours was UNUSUALLY fast. I hope you get to pink soon!
