Grand Tikal or Westin??

I'm traveling next week to pick up my twin girls (YEAH) but can't get into the Marriott. Any thoughts on the Grand Tikal or Westin and why?? They/we need room to walk and move about. Pool not important. Food important. Adoption friendly important. Thanks

I have written a bunch of posts on the Grand Tikal, you could search the archives. We really like it. But I have not been to the Westin so can't compare.

We stayed at the Westin for the Visit, friendly, and a lot of adoption families...

I never was at the Tikal... But I was told not to many family, more business atmos. But I think I am going to stay there for the pickup!

Grand Tikal

We stayed in Aug. and my husband will be returning in Nov. Great service, excellent food, beautiful rooms, great staff. Not too may adoptive families, I think I may have seen 4-5 while we were there. There's a mall attached. Nice hotel.
