Yep!! I'm from Louisiana. I'm waiting for my I-171 H form. I heard that they processing June's applications. I hope they are getting ready for July's soon. Keep in touch.

Out of PGN-Hurricane Katrina
Hi guys, I live in Harahan. I exited PGN 08/31/06, and got an e-mail today from Homeland Security wanting some information about how Hurricane Katrina affected my house, etc. My agency does not know how to deal with this, I don't know how to deal with this. I am freaking out. I should have pink by now. Have any of you had to do this?

Hey, we weren't affected so I can't give you any advice on that one. I can't believe they are bringing that hurricane up since that was a year ago. I hope all goes well. Just pray it's going to be ok. I'm from Lafayette!!

I'm in Louisiana too!
 I'm waiting on my i171H. We dropped off our I600A and homestudy today. Oh, we got fingerprinted too. They said it's taking anywhere from 60-180 days. YIKES!!

Hi Ang,
Born in Louisiana, but not living there now. I did have quite a time getting some docs from there! My guess is that they want to know if you're living in your house, FEMA trailer, etc. You might check with your senator. Make Mary Landrieu work for you! She has adopted children, so surely she will be sympathetic. They might have suggestions or know someone in that dept of Homeland Security who could help.

I'm sure when they read over our homestudy, they will realize that the hurricane didn't do much damage to our home. Whatever damage we had has been repaired. I would suspect they are trusting the Social Workers to report whether or not we have a stable home.
