I'll tell you what... that stupid AP article about Guatemalan adoptions being a "Baby Farm" (from about a month ago) didn't help anything!!! I had to answer to all my in-laws if my daughter's were stolen, farmed, etc. How horrible!!!

I am so sorry that some of you have unsupportive family members. That was so sad for me to read. I hope that once these children come home that the questions in these people's minds disappear. I will praying for all of you that are struggling with it.

As for us...our family greeted the idea with complete open arms. There is not a single family member that has ever questioned or decision or has not treated Mikayla as if she is part of the family....even though she is not home yet. We are very lucky. My in-laws are adoptive parents themselves so they were thrilled for us and my parents are equally thrilled and love Mikalya to pieces and everyone has already begun spoiling the girl. We are so very, very blessed.
