Travel from San Diego/LA Area
Greetings,

it is usually cheaper to fly out of lax...this is also where you will get the round trip tickets from. there are no SD round trips. Now, one thing you MAY want to consider is flying out from a smaller local airport. I chose to fly out of ontario instead of lax and sd. i live in between the 2, but ontario is a little closer. the cool thing about ontario is it small...and less crowded. it was about 50 more to fly out of ontario...but it was sooo worth it to me to not have to mess with all the traffic of sd and la. I will PM you with the name of a travel agent i used.

I agree, you can get cheaper fares on Taca or non-stop on United out of LAX but I will never do it again because the airport is such a mess. I highly recommend flying out of Ontario.... very convenient.
SD is okay but you end up connecting in LAX.

Actually SD connects in Houston and LA connects in Dallas. We have done both ways. I also prefer avoiding LAX. Anna
