I know this is completely off topic!

Our little guy - Alex- is a year old and as you see from the picture, has some straight hair - almost in his eyes.

This is my first little boy and I am clueless as to how to style it!!

I am guessing bows are OUT OF THE QUESTION!!

Looking for suggestions!

We will be picking him up hopefully in the next couple of weeks - I hope his Foster Mom doesn't cut it - I think she is trying to leave that one up to us.

So any "style" options and then possibly how to cut it (not me of course - a professional) I am thinking that will not be happening until we get back.

I would just do a trim, to keep it managable. Take him to a Hair Stylist... Not a Barber... TRUST ME... Babers don't understand the word trim...

My little guy has very fast growing hair. I took him for his first cut at 10 weeks, and he has had 3 more cuts since then! I took him to a hairstylist, more out of concern that a barbershop might scare him (ok, this is probably more a mommy issue). They trimmed the "outline" first, then used scissors to cut, until they could see if he would react to the electric trimmer. He did great the first 2 times, but is harder to manage now that he is a little older (10 months).

We take Tyler to Great Clip and they are great with kids. Make sure you have a sucker or some treat handy. (Sticky yes, but well worth it!) We just have them trip his up too and then I spike it up a little in the front using baby lotion! (It washes out easily and doesn't make his hair hard, just manageable.) Your little guy is so handsome! He will look cute however you do his hair.

He's beautiful! I'm all about the spiked look for little straight-haired guys. That's how I'm going to style my little guy's when he comes home, unless he has curly hair (he doesn't look like it in his newborn photo, but who knows?).

I'll try to post a picture of Tristan. He hasn't had the back of his hair cut yet. He'll be 2 in October. The front/sides of his hair is short & spiky(sp?), but the back is long & curly (ringlets). I love his hair we are always getting compliments on him & his hair. You do what you think will look good on your baby. I think if we were to cut Tristans hair he would look like a little baby. Since he is 22 months he is still only wearing 6-9 months & some 12 months, so I think the hair makes him look older.

Our baby boy has straight hair too. I'm going to cut it shorter and do the spiky in the front thing too. He'll look like a little movie star!

I think his hair is adorable Joy ! I am with everyone else ! I would take him to a stylist and just have it trimmed up.

We just had our little guy's hair cut spikey! So cute! I had a plain "little boy" cut for a while, but, we were getting it cut every 3 weeks and he is not too fond of a hair cut Soooo, this last time, they used the clippers #4 I believe. Then she cleaned it up around the neck and ears. I add a TINY bit of gel in the morning and he is a little cutie patootie....see! We are so in love...he is 16 mo old!

My son had long straight hair past his first birthday and 9 times out of 10 he was mistaken for a GIRL! Even when he was head to toe in blue! We opted for the spike hair due after that! He hates getting his hair cut!
