I haven't made an official announcement, so I guess this is it! We are starting up for #2!!! So, who else is with me?

somewhere, back many pages, I'm sure, there is a Summer beginner thread. There are a few of us! congrats on #2!!

We will hopefully have our homestudy in our hands this week (waiting for state clearance ... still), fingerprints done on Friday, and HOPEFULLY I will be going to the SoS on Monday. A lot of hope in there LOL My goal is to have our dossier in to the agency in two weeks.

We'll probably still wait for 5-7 weeks for our 171, but at least our dossier will be translated and we'll be on the wait list!

Are you adopting a boy or a girl (or either? We're letting it be a surprise!).

We have said either gender, but realize that pretty much means a boy. Very exciting, and the paperwork part is sooo much easier this time.

We have finished our dossier and mailed it to our agency, but just waiting now on the I-171H to come in from Atlanta to be on wait list for a referrel...

We just finished our last home visit with the SW yesterday. My paperwork is done and now we are waiting on the homestudy to be finished and the
1-171H to come. Congrats to you for starting again! This is our first adoption and very nervewracking.

We are just waiting for the homestudy to be written up and sent to USCIS. I hope we get the I-171H quickly. I want to be on the waiting list already!

We're waiting for the rest of our paperwork to come back so our SW can finish writing up our homestudy.. We've already been fingerprinted too...

It seems much less complicated the second time around... I agree!! Although, it's taking longer because we haven't accepted a referral yet. My daughter's face is what kept me in high gear to get things done last time around..

I'm getting close! My homestudy draft has been sent to my agency. I need to get a copy to USCIS, and then I hear they are issuing 171H's in 3-5 business days! Once I have the homestudy report, I'll have everything else I need to finish the certification/authentication process! Then on to referral .

We are taking CPR tonight...fun, fun, fun! We did 2 sets of prints electronically on Saturday but not the INS ones yet.
I'm in hyper-cleaning, lanscaping, etc mode because our 1st homestudy is a week from tomorrow!!

We are just starting our first. We have just sent in our I600A and our 1st HS is in a week. Can't wait to really get started. Our dossier will not take long to complete. Justthe cert/authen I am worried about.
We have a 4yr old bio girl. Really want a BOY, but will get whatever comes up!

We are nearing the end of the paper chase too. We have our homestudy in and were fingerprinted by USCIS a week and a half ago. We just need to have our declarants sing and then we are off to verify and authenticate. Hopefully the dossier will be in early next month.

We are in too... or shall I say two. This is our second adoption. We are waiting for our I171. It does seem to be easier with all the paper work the second time around, but still a pain to do. We are going to be adopting a girl. This will make 3 daughters. My poor husband is way out numbered. It is great to have so many of us going through around the same time. It is always nice to feel like you are not in this alone.

I'm waiting for the completion of the HS in order to send my dossier in to my agency and to get my I171.

We're done with HS and I was going to wait to submit our dossier until we got the 171H, but spoke to my case worker and she said to send in everything so at least we can get on the waiting list. I still have to get everything notarized,certified and authenticated, but then we'll be done. Yay! We didn't specify gender, either. I'm excited for a boy!!! Good luck to us all!!!!
