Memo is finally home forever.....
As some of you were there to see it with your very own eyes. And most of you probably read it in the Post Dispatch yesterday.... It is TRUE!!!!! Nick is finally home forever!!!!!
 It was such an emotional moment. Tony and Brandon with the Photographer (from the Post) my Aunt Kathleen and Leigh Ann (Mark's sister) were allowed to meet us at the gate. We had a wonderful family moment together.  Tony and Brandon are having a blast being big brothers. Brandon came to me on Friday night and said "Mom, this big brother stuff is hard work."... I just laughed and hugged him. Tony thinks it is so cool that the first words out of Nick's mouth were "Hola Tony, Hola Brando".... I was just an emotional wreck.. Still am. We went to Church this morning to find that the big sign out front reads "WELCOME HOME NICHOLAS LOCKHART". That is when my tears started. Then they introduced all of us and had us come forward. They presented Nick with is very first children's Bible. It is a spanish one too....... I bawled some more.  We have had a few firsts these past few days.. His first airplane ride. The pilot let him sit in the Captain's seat of a 737 and they turned on all kinds of lights and buzzers. I thought for sure we were going to crash into the Guatemala City termanal...... Nick loved that. Then they welcomed their new buddy Memo on his first flight. When we arrived in Houston they welcomed Memo to the USA.... I cried some more...... When we exited the plane. Nick said "Adios Capitan" and they hi fived.... It was priceless.  Yesterday we went to the Pediatrician... He hates Dr. Plax now. He got THREE Shots..... OUCHHHHHH!!! But so far all is well. We have some blood work to do tomorrow, but expect everything to be fine. After the Doctor we had our first ice cream to help dry the tears. Then we swam in our neighbors pool.... WOOO HOOOO HE LOVES TO SWIM!!! He and Brandon are in our little pool as I type this. They are the best of buddies. As for Tony, he loves Nick so much. He just looks at him and cracks up at some of the things he does. Mark and I are trying to finally unpack, finish the laundry and get the house in some kind of order..... OH yea... I almost forgot to tell you how our day ended Friday night. Some friends went together to rent a big limosine for us to ride home in. We had so much room we took all the cousins home with us too. They all had a blast. I have to say, that is the longest kindercare bus I have ever been on... HAHAHAHHA Anyway, we pulled up to find a huge sign stretched across our garage that said "WELCOME HOME NICK!" There were big smile faces all over the front yard. The biggest one holds a sign that says "Congratulations Lockharts, Welcome home Nick" There were balloons on the mailbox, in the house and huge cards on the kitchen table too. Then as we exited the limosine, my neighbor light off fireworks from our front yard. Everyone was outside cheering...... I just stood there crying somemore. See Dreams really do come true...... Thank you all so very much from the bottom of our hearts.... We could never have made this journey without God and all of you. Thank you soooo very much. We will be in touch with details of when our massive party will be.... WOOOOOO HOOOOOO WE ARE CELEBRATING!!!!!!! We love you all...... The NEW LOCKHART FAMILY OF FIVE!!!!! Mark, Suzanne, Tony, Brandon and Nicholas.... Oh and Koda too...... Make that six... HAHAHHA

Congrats Suzanne! And thanks for sharing that story!! I'm so glad that he is finally home...enjoy the rest of your summer together!!
BTW, is he starting school soon??

WOW, every time a "Lockhart" post comes up now I start crying those tears of joy!! I am so happy for all of you and am THRILLED that Nick is taking so well to his new family.

Wow Suzanne, you guys made it! What a difficult road it was sometimes, but thank God, Memo is home forever. It was so cool for so many reasons to watch the homecoming at Lambert. Part of it was totally personal, sort of reliving the end of my own two year journey with Manuel and seeing all of the beautiful Guatemalan adoptees. There were so many! And of course, seeing Memo coming down the hall with his brothers was priceless.
Let me say again, congratulations and welcome home Nick! Is he comfortable with being called Nick at this point?

Wow Suzanne is all I can say!
I have not stopped praying and thinking about you and your family for the last two weeks. I am so glad you are all home safe and sound. What an amazing journey you have all been on for the last week - let alone the last two years. We can only imagine how Nick is feeling. What an exciting time - try to relax a bit to soak it all in. Write down as much as you can - so when the time comes for the adreniline to wear off you can fly high on all the emotions over and over again. We praise God for all that He has done for your family and all of ours by sharing your story and journey with us. Give Nick a hug from our family! Our girls loved his story. God bless and best wishes for your surgery!

What a privedge it has been to be a part of your lives!..You have always given me so much encouragement through all of this. Its hard for to us not to be able to see Gods plan in all that happens to us, but in the end, He knows what is best and the right time for it! I guess now I can get off my pulpit, heh?
