Adoption Day/Gotcha Day QUESTION???
I am not adopting from Guatemala but my friend leaves tomorrow to pick up her precious son! Anyway, I was trying to determine the actual "Adoption/Gotcha Day" for Guatemala. Would it be Family Court Day, PGN Day, Out of PGN Day, Pink Slip, or Day of return to home????
HELP!!! I am doing a project for her that is a surprise. Thanks!!! Becca

Kassandra's gotcha day was the day we came home from Guatemala. 11/19.
I have seen some use the date they picked up their child.

it is a personal choice (as is what families choose to call the day - Adoption Day, Family Day, Gotcha Day, Guatemala day, etc.). Do a forum search - there have been recent threads on this.

Our Gotcha Day is the day that we arrived home.

Annaguat  May 5,2005 start Aug. 23 I171H Sept. 20 referrals  Oct. DNA match Nov. PA received, FC stuck because of holidays Dec. Awesome visit!  Dec. wait for FC and out! Dec. into PGN and stuck because of holidays March 7 OUT of PGN and OUT again  March ? GCBCs and pink March 27-31 going to pick up my babies! March 31 Home and forever in our arms.

We also celebrate the day we came home, but others celebrate the day they physically took custody, others celebrate Embassy Day. A matter of preference.
